Remus was lazing on his bed. He hated the summer holidays. He absolutely hated them. His parents kept him cooped up inside and his only way of communicating with James or Sirius was through letters. Which they were both awful at writing. They were either incredibly short or ostentatiously long and made no coherent sense. Even Remus had trouble understanding his two best friends sometimes. Sirius' last letter had mentioned something about a motorcycle and kidnapping Moony, but he really thought Sirius was drunk when he wrote it.

So, Remus had replied and had nothing else to do but laze on his bed and wait for the reply.
