Teddy Tonks
This towns skipping like a record. Reruns get me so bored, so with enough that I
can afford, let's get lost -- again.
personality
QUIRKS: Sort of feels bad about being straight despite his mother's best
efforts, loves old music and weird clothes, will happily crossdress
LIKES: Orange, reading, David Bowie, the glamorous life, sequins and glitter,
sarcasm
DISLIKES: Bullies, soft grunge, brocolli
Teddy has never been afraid to be himself, even though it's meant not having too many
friends in life. He's close to his mother and grandmother and has always had books to
turn to for comfort. Teddy reads a
lot. When something interests him, he tends
to obsess over it until he knows everything there is to know about a subject, then he
moves on. Sometimes his grades reflect his passion for subjects, sometimes they
don't. He was raised a free-spirit and it's not his fault the school system wasn't
built to handle him.
appearance
HEIGHT: 6'0"
WEIGHT: 52kg
HAIR: Orange
EYES: Brown
Teddy is tall and gangly and his nose is a bit too big for his face. His hair hangs
in his eyes and he has massive hands. He's okay with all of that. Teddy thinks he's
pretty decent looking and spends a lot of time dressing himself every morning,
although at first glance one might assume he got dressed in the dark. Teddy likes
bright colours and wears his favourite objects like talismans around his neck. He is
certainly not someone anyone will every overlook in a crowd.
history
Teddy grew up living, for the most part, with his single, lesbian mother. He loved
her to death, but when he was younger Teddy wished he had another parent. Not
necessarily a father, just someone else he could go to with his problems. His mother
had a tendency to explode everytime something went wrong. She was a
bit over-
protective, and having your mother call and yell at your friend because the two of
you got in a fight on the playground is a pretty good way to lose friends for good.
Not to mention ridiculously embarrassing. Teddy did spent time with his donor,
Charlie, but Charlie had his own family. For the most part, Teddy got music
recommendations and dinosaur books from him.
Because his mother is a cop with uncertain work hours, Teddy spent a lot of time at
his grandmother's house. She bought him books on everything and Teddy grew up reading
voraciously in addition to listening to some of the best music of all time. He's a
font of knowledge and trivia and more or less a complete nerd. His mother raised him
to never apologise for who he was. Consequently, Teddy never really had much in the
way of friends besides Winston.
