He's clean -- really clean. He has water -- water! Fresh, clean, cold water. The clothes he's given are strange, but he doesn't care.
And then she walks into the room, and he's down on his knees again. "I was inappropriate earlier. I did not do things properly." He's managed to figure out there are a great deal of... cultural differences, so as he stays on his knees and extends his hands properly, by his own reckoning, he makes sure to ask, "Do people still swear fealty in your country?"
