I really had little notion as to all the work that is put into a child even before they arrive. So lucky that I've got my mother-in-law to at each turn make it so abundantly clear how unprepared I am at current to take care of a baby. She has been so instructive to me in such a short amount of time, which is rather good considering that if she keeps this up, I will deliver this baby five-six months early and be in a position where I will need to put all the valuable little gems of wisdom she's bestowed upon me to good use.

Also, she gave me the family's antique crib and I need to find a way to give it back before I have a raging Juliana breaking into my house to get it---not that it's not her fault that her mother is angry, but--I do not even want the thing

They're certainly some sort of special gift on this earth.

She's just terribly ... excited about things, that's all.

She can find somewhere else to be excited other than our home, thank you.

She left, didn't she?

After several hours

She will find an excuse to come back tomorrow. She always finds an excuse.

I suppose I could take her for lunch and shopping. Then she'd be far too terribly exhausted to come and visit...

I would so lament her absence, truly. But who am I to impede upon the important task of spending time with one's mother?

Yes, I know it's difficult to part with such a stunning woman, but I'm sure you will somehow move on.

And I shall continue to be utterly selfish in keeping her to myself.

I do hope she makes your day as bright as she has mine.

She absolutely adores me, so I would assume that she would certainly do so.

She's an old hag.

That old bat has tried to marry me off to all the eligible ugly Pureblooded witches in a three-country radius--she does not deserve my mercy.

She's certainly an acquired taste in a parent, isn't she?

One I seemed to have skipped the biological imprinting process of. My best wishes for your dealings with her.

If I can continue to pawn her off on her favorite son, I may be the luckiest woman alive.
