"So, how long should I sneak into Ruritania instead of announce my presence? Six months? A year?" he asks with a grin.
He calls his father first, because there's a chance Mother might at least be staying in the same general area as him.
He's shocked when his mother answers the phone.
He does some quick explaining, but his mother's tone is even more shocking. She's crying while asking several questions to confirm his identity. When the questions become overly personal, he stops inquisition, which seems to satisfy her. She says she'll tell his father...and that if this is some kind of trick, he's a dead man.
Brad hangs up and chuckles.
"I think she actually missed me. She also pointed out that it's legal for her to kill people and that she blames my dad for this. I think my parents were together at home, Princess.
Like.../really/ together." he says, putting down the phone.
"So, how long do you have before they come to get you?"
