Player: Terry (LJ: terrykun)
Email: tj_mccarron@yahoo.com
AIM: GoggleBoy83
Character Name: Vincent Amorason
Character LJ (if applicable): quitethecharmer
Physical description (face, build, weight): Slender and fair, with dark hair and eyes. 5'9" , 350lb (see Abilities)
Age: 17
PB: Kevin Flamme

Abilities:
Super Strength: Vincent is far stronger than normal humans, but comparatively feeble by Asgardian standards. He can lift 10 tons.
Superhuman Stamina: Similar to full-blooded Asgardians, Vincent’s muscles produce considerably less fatigue toxins during physical activity than those of humans allowing him to operate at peak levels for longer periods of time. He can exert himself physically for approximately 24 hours at a time.
Superhuman Durability: The tissues of Vincent's body are also considerably harder and more resistant to injury than those of a human. He is immune to all known diseases, and resistant to most poisons.
Superhuman Longevity: Vincent, like full Asgardians, isn't immortal in the same sense as some other god pantheons. Vincent ages at a pace slower than human beings, approximately half the rate, after reaching maturity. The consumption of the Golden Apples of the goddess Idunn is essential to an Asgardian maintaining their physical vigor, though Vincent has not yet had to ingest any of the apples so far due to his young age.
Regenerative Healing Factor: Despite his resistance to injury, it is possible to injure Vincent. If injured, his body is capable of repairing damaged tissue with much greater speed and efficiency than the body of a human being, but not as quickly as full-blooded Asgardians. Serious injuries such as missing limbs can only be healed by magical means.
Superhumanly Dense Tissue: Less than full-blooded Asgardians, Vincent's skin, muscle, and bone tissues have 1.5 times the density of the same tissue in the body of a human being, contributing somewhat to his superhuman strength and weight.
Exceptionaly Strong Will: The Aesir are gods, and possess much greater than human will, being resistant to most manner of possession, mind control and similar effects. Vincent's proficiency with enchantments has allowed him to overcome what would normally be the limitations of his mixed heritage in this aspect.
Aesir: Vincent can speak the language of the Norse Gods in a broken fashion, usually spilling into it when agitated. He has been educated to fluency in a variety of modern languages as well, under his father's tutelage.

Magic Spells:
Ability to detect magic in general, with a particular sensitivity to illusions. Constantly aware of psionics used on him, but not around him. Can repel middle tier to low-high tier psychic probes.
Mental, magical, and psychic shields. These can be erected one at a time, as different spells. Combined with preternatural disposition, psychic shields can repel all but very high level psychic incursions. Physical shields can stand up to most mundane levels of impact and energy discharges, but would not last more than one or possibly two strikes against foes such as Thor or The Hulk. Magical shields are of exceptional level, but could be penetrated with focus by mages such as Dr Doom, Dr Strange, and others with similar levels of advanced study and proficiency.
Telepathic projections to a limited range, increased by being able to 'bounce' the projection off of multiple individuals. Vincent could broadcast a message much more easily within a crowded location than across empty distances. However, with preparation, or knowledge of a specific individual to contact, he can reach most of the way around the planet.
Capable of teleporting several hundred miles at a time, with speed on par with most Earth mages. He can bring up to three others with him. Not currently capable of dimensional travel.
Energy blasts of an elemental nature; fire, cold/ice, acid, or electricity. A decent amount of strength, but not enough to inconvenience most mages of proficient level, or individuals of above average durability.
Sleep spells requiring eye contact, work well on those of average will. Individuals such as Captain America, Thor, and high level mages and psychics would be able to resist it.
Illusions are one of Vincent's strong points. He can cast believable illusions on a room-size scale with elements for all 5 senses. Illusions can cause psychosomatic damage, but no real injury.
"Mage hand", a classical magical cantrip. Capable of manipulating small objects within a radius of about twenty feet. Can self-levitate, but only at about the same speed as he could run.
Paralyzing touch, able to paralyze mortals with a touch for short periods of time, or longer if maintained. Less effective on strong wills, as with sleep spell. Can be altered to slow, instead of paralyze.
Expert with disguise spells. Cannot actually shapeshift like his mother, but can create suitably strong and impenetrable illusions focused on himself so as to simulate the effect.
Enchantment is Vincent's other forte, besides illusion. Able to affect the minds and emotions of people through spellcasting. Typically used for a charm effect, or enhancing effects that were already there. For example, making individuals that would find him attractive even more so. The sleep and paralysis abilities are aspects of this field. Enchanting others can also make them more susceptible to his other abilities. Gods and magical mortals would generally know when this is being used on them. Less effective on very strong willed mortals as well.

Other Abilities: Genius-level intellect, particularly in energy technologies and robotics, but eschews the use of science in combat. Keeps a utility pack on hand for repairs to Kristoff's armor or Andrea's systems when in the field. Educated briefly by his father, and extensively by Reed Richards, Vincent has one of the highest intellects on the planet, likely within the top twenty. However, his ego and sense of grandeur tend to make him miss simpler solutions.

Weaknesses and flaws: Egotistical at times, post-traumatic stress disorder (generally triggered by exposure to his father), diminished attributes compared to others of Asgardian blood. Difficulty following others' orders in battle.

Character location/Home: Baxter Building, NYC
Alignment: Hero (close enough)
Relatives (living/dead?): Amora the Enchantress (mother, alive), Victor Von Doom (father, alive), Kristoff Vernard (Foster brother, alive)
Backstory: The product of a tryst between Amora the Enchantress and Victor Von Doom -- they were making a deal, and she insisted they sleep together on it -- Vincent was raised in Asgard by his mother and a small passel of nursemaids until the age of five. It was at that time that Loki, wary of the product of two already powerful mages entering Asgard's sorcery school, revealed his paternal lineage to the populace at large. This created enough negative attention that Vincent, in his mother's eyes, crossed over from annoyance into not worth her trouble.

Amora then deposited her son in Latveria with his father, who was willing to consider it fortuitous due to sudden dissatisfaction with his 'first try' at an heir, his adopted son Kristoff. Vincent was installed at the castle in Doomstadt and his education rapidly accelerated in various ways.

Home life with Doom turned out to be far from pleasant, and Vincent was a resourceful little demi-god. At the age of eight, he finally managed to escape Latveria in favor of the Doom-defying stronghold of New York City. However, this was not achieved as independently as he believed. The teleportation spell he attempted would have failed, if not for assistance from Loki, this time merely attempting to antagonize his rival/ally for amusement. Once in New York City, it did not take 18-year-old Kristoff long to demand custody of Vincent as opposed to deportation or a disastrous rendezvous with the American foster system.

Nine years later, Vincent has just recently started joining his brother's team in the field.

How do you plan to introduce the character to the game?: A series of flashback posts outlining the intersecting points in his and Kristoff's past, then a general post with him returning to the Baxter Building after a night of cavorting.
What are you planning to do with this character?: Fraternal banter/antagonism with Kristoff, pleasant (relative term) interaction with other New Yorkers, F4 adventures
What do you want to see happen with this character?: I would VERY much like to explore his Asgardian connections, and deal with supernatural threats. Dimensional travel would also be a plus.
