Possible Future
They'd never gotten back together, not that way; but they'd seen nations rise and fall together. They'd seen humanity reaching the stars become commonplace. They'd seen friends and family grow old, seen the children grow old, and their children as well. Time and time again.
They never looked their age, or even a fraction of it... but time tires everyone. (Except Franklin and Galactus.)
It took the better part of a decade of preparation, hardly a twinkle in the eye to them, but long enough. Wrapping up legal affairs. Doling out belongings. Tracking down and integrating 'copies'.
Eventually, they sat down, watching the sun set over what was once Latveria.
"I still remember when I gave all this to Kristoff... I told him he had one mission. To build the perfect nation."
"I know. It was a good day." She pauses. "I'm afraid. I am not changing my mind... but I'm still afraid."
"I know." Vincent squeezed Andrea's hand. "I've met all kinds of dead... seen all kinds of ways for people to come back.. but there's still no real knowing."
"You don't have any regrets? That you have to go with me?" She bit her lip, pushing the hair from her face as a breeze pushed it askew. She refused to take her gaze away from the horizon.
"None." He closed his eyes. "Let's go exploring again."
She let out a breath, as the last light went over the mountains. "Andrea Rider... END PROGRAM.."
