Clark can barely believe what he's hearing. He never expected to be a father; he didn't even realize that he could father a child with a human woman. But Lois was the woman he wanted and he'd known that since he met her.
He simply lays his head on her lap.
"I'm so sorry, Lois. I should have known. You've been going through this by yourself and I didn't realize...oh god. The baby's been hurting you this whole time and you didn't say anything.
We...I need to find out what this means. If the baby is hurting you, it's because of me." he says.
