I did try! At the wake, I talked to mother and--- Yes, I gave up. As a mother, I'd have thought you would understand how devastating it might be to a child to have them completely wiped out of their family history because of some stupid traditions, but I also thought you might realize that being told you were born simply to be married off and carry the family bloodline to the next generation was horrid as well. I suppose it would have helped you to understand if they had bothered to arrange some sort of engagement with a bloke who assaulted you in dark corridors, or told you you had to break up with your first love because he was a muggleborn, let alone a Hufflepuff! Merlin forbid it all!
But I suppose I was wrong and that I shouldn't assume so much of you anymore.
