Title: The Dark Within the Light
Status: Rough draft WIP
Character: Aeladin
Soft steps seemed to echo down the small hall. The walls, covered with a layer of dust, in a place long since abandoned relfected the softest bit of candlelight being carried down the passage. Harsh green eyes peered from beneath a dark hood, scanning the walls carefully glancing over decaying pictures and cobwebs before falling on the door at the end.
The elf lessened his pace, stopping only just outside. He reached his free hand out and touched the doorframe cautiously.
"It's been a long time." he said aloud to himself before entering the room.
The man held the candle out to brighten what he could, locating a small table setting his latern down. The warlock picked up a nearby book and blew dust off the cover, inspecting it breifly before opening it.
"You'll do." he whispered as he tore out a few pages from the book and shaped them into pipes. Opening the latch on the latern he light the pages and carried them around the room, finding candles here and there to light, bringing life to the room.
The elf looked around the newly lit room, smiling softly to himself. He removed his hood, black hair falling carelessly against his shoulders as he shook his head. This was Aleadin Silverlaine. A man long since broken by the very faith he used to follow. This place and his faith were one in the same, long since abandoned by him.
