On Wednesday, masked gunmen attacked the office of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in Paris. The magazine is no stranger to controversy—their covers have inspired protests and hackings, and in 2011 the offices were firebombed by a Molotov cocktail. While the gunmen are still at large, French President Francois Hollande has beefed up security, and Parisians gathered at Place de la République to remember those who were killed.
