http://www.slate.com/articles/health_and_science/science/2014/10/women_and_the_nobel_prize_these_female_physicists_deserve_a_physics_nobel.html
Before last year’s announcement of the Nobel Prize in physics, we recommended 20 female physicists who deserved the award. None of them got it then, but Tuesday’s Nobel Prize announcement is another chance. The original article is republished below. On Tuesday, the Nobel Committee will bestow everlasting glory and a sizable chunk of coin on one, two, or three of the world’s physicists. While prognosticators will argue until moments before the announcement about who is most likely to win, history suggests one pretty safe bet: The physicist (or physicists) speaking in December in Stockholm will be male.
