firstly, i am very sorry if some of you have a problem with the way we do things. when we took over this comm it was because we love it and we love the members and we have no intentions of letting it die. with that said, when things don't get done it's not because we're intending to send sorters to an early grave. there used to be an issue with adds where either they were done too early or the next morning due to timezones, which is why we've changed them to 5:30 est. however, for this set we haven't yet had any applications and so thought it would be simpler to allow people more time to update if they're going to, rather than removing active members who will have to reapply with the next set of adds. regarding the directories, those are updated once a week to save the complications of adding people who are doa and fail to even intro. with the number of directories we have, it's simply not practical to update them all for every set of adds, hence why they're updated once a week. as my co-mod said, some of us use macs and don't know how to upload the bl using that (apparently there's a way, though, so that shouldn't be a problem anymore).

when it comes to comments in the dropbox, the reason it sometimes takes us a few days to respond to them is not because there aren't enough of us and we need more help, it's because we like to discuss things as a group and, thanks to the fact that we all have different timezones, it can be difficult to coordinate and make sure we're all in agreement about how we want to respond. we love you all very dearly, and we love this community, so we're trying to take on board all your suggestions as much as is feasible.

at the current moment, adding anyone else onto the mod team would only exacerbate the problem, because it would be even more complicated to coordinate everything as a group. if you have any other concerns please tell us in the dropbox, because there's always the risk that even constructive discussion in here will turn into general negativity and that's not fun for anyone.
