Then Hwood segued into the Ava Gardner-Marilyn Monroe era. Most are not even aware of Marilyn's last "film performance", which was a private 8mm home movie "directed" by Frank Fuckface Sinatra in a bedroom in the summer of 1962 (I think I recall it was 1962 - I could be erroneous). She too died from a suicide "accident" within months. Which is the main reason Joe Dimaggio despised Sinatra. Of course, he got the leverage he wanted. And the world lost another goddess. Then Hwood had it's run through the 60s-70s-80s in which dreams of being a "star" often crashed into the reality of a drug-addled, sex-obsessed industry of money and power that destroyed many innocent dreams of once decent young men and women. And as they say, "the beat goes on".
