I DON'T KNOW IF YOU'LL CHECK BACK ANON but...strained? at best, they don't talk very much now since when they do it generally turns into an argument because they're both really stubborn and she has a tendency to say things before thinking. as far as the two of them not working out, it was mostly due to really bad timing on both of their parts. as soon as they decided to go for it, they both had a lot come up for each of them personally and all of that on top of trying to make a relationship function was just too much. i don't know how to answer your last question, she'll always care about him and love him and i can't answer for his character, obviously, but i think once they get over their stubbornness and actually talk things out maturely rather than fighting they'll be fine.
