"I heard she might be. I don't know for sure and I didn't want to just ambush her or anything." Tony says.
"Oh, good." he says, nothing Pepper's words. After a recent string of...issues, Tony is much more discerning about which events he shows up at. A lot of the ones he's been blowing off or "arriving late" to also happen to have had "Open Bar" as an amenity.
"Thank you, Pepper, for keeping me together. You're the best." he smiles.
