Current music:"Devil's Child" - Judas Priest

That Concert Last Night
It was so damn awesome. I've only been to one other real concert, but this sure as hell blew it away.

Now we were in The Myth, which was pretty much just balconies and a barroom floor. The floor really wasn't that bad. Newell and everyone else was expecting tons of moshing for some reason, but we're were pretty much the youngest guys there. So that was cool. We could enjoy the music without getting killed.

The opening band didn't turn out to be Metal Church, but was some group known as Down Tread. I thought they were okay, but I think most of the crowd could've cared less. If anything, they had a really cool drummer, but otherwise people just wanted to see Priest. During their performance the floor was pretty spread out. Plenty of standing room.

Then after they got off stage and everything was set, the new stage was revealed. It was pretty much a middle tower with two smaller ones on each side and stairs between the two. The drum set was on the middle one and was the first thing anyone saw. Now for their opener they played "Prophecy" off their Nostradamus. Halford came up an elevator on the left side of the stage, dressed with a robe and a staff that had the Priest emblem on it. It was great. They played into most of their "classics" after that. I mean, who could want more? "Painkiller", "Hellion/Electric Eye", "Breaking The Law", "You've Got Another Thing Coming", "Eat Me Alive", "Rock Hard Ride Free", "Devil's Child", "Hell Patrol", "Between the Hammer & the Anvil", "Angel", "Sinner", "Death"...there could be more. All I know is Judas Priest fucking rocked that entire room. Oh man. If they ever have a concert nearby again, I'm definitely there.

Note to self: See some more concerts while I'm at it. Yeah. Yeah...
