SPECIAL EVENING EDITION
DAILY PROPHET OFFICES ATTACKED
Explosions wracked the Prophet offices this morning, rendering most of the writing and production staff injured and destroying nearly all of the presses. This edition comes to you from our offices in Hogsmeade, proving that even acts of terrorism cannot keep the media from printing the truth. In an act that authorities tout as a reaction to the election of Minister Conway, several of the senior writing staff are being treated for severe injuries at St. Mungo's and one fatality has been reported.
Cordelia Nott, 25, was killed in the blasts on the office. Nott, known as Cordie to her family and friends, leaves behind her husband, Hamilton, 29, and newborn son, Theodore. She was on maternity leave from her job as a receptionist for the Daily Prophet offices and just visiting her co-workers to drop off holiday biscuits and treats. Funeral arrangements have yet to be made, but a collection is being made in her honor for her son.
"We print the truth," says Barnabus Cuffe, Editior in Chief of the publication, "and we have been attacked for it. Sadly, it cost us a bright light in this dark time. Cordie is a member of our family, and she will be sorely missed. We will not stop, she would not want us to give in to this brutal attack."
