Scheming One, slightly thick Ian, clever Barbara, happy Susan... the best of DW. And yes. Ian/Barbara is really the only ironclad OTP of Doctor Who, at least for me. Every other character I ship with at least two other characters in varying combinations. But these two... they just seem to be designed for one another by a benevolent Providence. Whom One knows. And is assisting. He totally arranged all this. *nods wisely*
Ten probably took credit for the whole thing when he showed up in 1969. "I totally made this match. And got them sleeping together. Yep. All me. That baby you're currently complaining about? I brought him into existence. All the credit is due me. Now shush and thank me for thoughtfully awakening these two to their undying love for each other just so you could have a couch to sleep on now."
