Comment with the name of one of my fics. I'll give you three songs I think should wind up on the soundtrack to that story. Then post this meme in your journal and send music to the people who comment to you.

Pick the hard ones, don't you.
I have really never given any thought to a soundtrack for Holy Wars, because I knew precisely where I wanted it to go and what mood I wanted it to have. But just for you.

When a Child is Born, for Jessie, since she is the Messiah, and still a child; it speaks to the expectations people have of her and she has of herself while still being hopeful and bright. Plus, every soundtrack ever should have Placido Domingo on it. Thus I have spake.

The Battle at Devil's Den, for...well, the battle. Gettysburg is a source of good battle music, I find. It should be, since the movie is basically 75% people shooting at each other.

Aside, for Harry at the very end, between the Metatron leaving and Murphy waking.

I would totally add Carol of the Bells, too, but I suspect the point of this meme is to introduce new music.

Can I ask for your baby!Dresden 'verse in general? I know oneshots are hard to score by themselves.

I have made an account here just to communicate with you. Aren't you honoured? :p

Yay! *friends*

Okay, so this was actually a lot harder than I had expected. My older Dresdlet Maggie was easy, because I've had a song for her almost from the beginning, and for Harry/Murphy it was more a matter of picking which song. But Julia was tough. She's a rather contradictory character and I eventually just went with her brighter side to stay in keeping with the rest of the songs. So!

One Week, by the Barenaked Ladies (who are neither barenaked nor ladies), for Harry/Murphy. Because, well, come on. It's perfect.

Into the Fire, Douglas Sills from The Scarlet Pimpernel, for Maggie. Mags grows up to be a Warden, and a very good one, largely because she has inherited her mother's sense of justice and her father's sense of adventure, both of which this song brings out.

Ever Ever After, by Carrie Underwood, for Julia. She has a charmed life, surprisingly so for a Dresden. About the most traumatic thing that ever happened to her was Maggie faking her death, and since Maggie had some very good reasons for it even that wasn't as horrible as it could have been. So she's very idealistic (and rather conniving, but it's hard to be conniving and idealistic in one song).

Pimpernel! *huggles Douglas Sills* Man, I used to be such a Pimpernel fangirl...

Anyway, nifty! I'm Canadian and Barenaked Ladies are, like, our 'hey, look at them, they're popular in the big bad American States!' band. So, I heartily approve your musical tastes, miss. :-D
