Wedding Guests!
Miranda couldn't believe it. She'd been married to Ralph since November, but it felt---surreal now that they'd actually had a wedding in front of their family and friends, it felt like a dream, and the past few months were all part of the vivid, vivid swirls of thoughts that were zooming around in her head. They were married, again, but it felt like the first time all over again. Miranda wished she could have a wedding every week, if it was going to feel this damn good.

She could barely keep herself off of Ralph. Her sneaky, wonderful husband had surprised the life out of her when she began to walk down the aisle and spotted his bright red hair. Miranda had begged and whined for Ralph to dye his hair back to its natural state from the dark, nearly black color he'd kept it during his time in hiding, so---she'd burst into tears at the sight of him, but in a large part it was at the sight of his hair.

Things were finally like they should be. There was no war, there were no death eaters trying to kill them, and she and Ralph could start their lives as husband and wife without being quiet about their court room nuptials; they could really start a life now.

Miranda resisted running her hands through Ralph's hair as they shared yet another dance. She knew that she'd have to let his mum and the rest of his family take a turn, but she was the bride. She could hog her husband all she wanted. Miranda smiled sweetly up at Ralph, completely dazzled by the day.

Frank wasn't sure if this was the strangest, or happiest wedding he had ever attended. And the strange part was only because--- well, it had gotten to the point were Miranda and Ralph felt like family. Like their extended children from another family, actually, who he and Alice had adopted. So it was strange because he felt incredibly parental for most of the ceremony, more proud than happy. This strange mix of feelings had continued well into the party, but he was enjoying it.

This was good. Miranda and Ralph... they represented everyone that was resilient through the war. They would live, and be happy together. It was for people like them that Frank had fought so long for, and--- it made him happy to see that at least two people would benefit from his and Alice's labors. It was just an added bonus that Miranda and Ralph were people that they cared about.

But enough of that, he had a sobbing wife to attend to. Alice had been holding back her tears all day, finally letting loose at the ceremony, and not really stopping since. It didn't really bother him; he actually found it incredibly endearing. Smiling, Frank turned toward Alice in his seat to produce another tissue.

"Should we go and meet their real parents soon, Mum?" Frank teased, leaning in toward his wife to make a funny face. He couldn't help it; the upbeat atmosphere was contagious.

Alice really hoped she hadn't ruined her makeup entirely. She'd put on glamor spells, and water proof charms to help keep everything in place, because she'd planned on crying but---this was should shaking sobbing. She'd been rather good during the ceremony, wanting to hear every word, but when Ralph and Miranda took their first dance? She lost it. Completely mental, she went. It was just beautiful, okay? And she'd helped Ralph and Miranda go through some of the hardest times of their lives, and she'd even housed Ralph for a few weeks and it was just---

"Shush!" she let out, her voice cracking as she swatted Frank in the arm. Alice pouted greatly at him, but even though there were tears still coming down her cheeks, her eyes were smiling. It was just a good night. Frank was happy, she was happy, and everyone here was going to be happy for a long time.

It was what they'd fought so hard in this war, for. As aurors, as members of the Order of the Phoenix, it was what they'd gone through all of the depression and trouble and danger for. Alice was an emotional person to begin with, but when throwing all those elements into one single event, it was a complete overload.

"Does it ever feel like we're only a year older than them?" Alice mused as she wiped her eyes, gesturing toward the 'newlyweds,' "Don't you feel like we've been doing this forever?"
