Present
Currently, William is unattached to any particular young lady.  He is however looking, and as such is likely to flirt if he finds the girl pretty enough.

Appearance
PB: Nicholas Hoult [ 1, 2, 3, 4]
Detailed Description: William measures a precise 6'1". He wears a size 14 shoe and has a 30 inch waist and a 34 inch inseam, making the boy tall, lanky and all legs. His clothing style might best be described as casual. Above all else William prefers his own personal comfort in his choice of attire. However, that should not be mistaken as his being careless and a slob. His clothing fits well, even if the bulk of his attire consists of t-shirts, polo shirts, sweaters, jeans, and more than a few button-down shirts. He prefers neutral colors over flashy ones. The entirety of his wardrobe is purchased by his own funds, save for a few scarves that his mother has knit for him. Will has no piercings to speak of nor tattoos. He has only one scar that is large enough to note, a jagged one that extends from his left shoulder to halfway down his back, from an unfortunate incident that occurred when he was nine and attempting to swim in a lake while visiting his uncle.

Personality
Likes: video games, German chocolate cake, cigarettes, wizard chess, practical jokes, broom closet makeout sessions with heinous bitches, alcohol, girls, classic rock, espresso, long showers, snow, smoothies, drums, and inappropriate reading materials
Dislikes:beets [he's allergic], spinach, sherbet, speedboats, idiots, rainy days, that stupid girl Katy Perry, opening up his pack of smokes and finding it empty, being asked stupid questions, getting hit on by guys [so he has lovely cheekbones... so what :/], girls who wear too much perfume, heinous bitches, when people incessantly text rather than call, and twitter
Quirks:
+ He always keeps a comb handy, brushing his hair at least twice every hour.
+ Will hums the tune to the smurfs when he's bored.
+ He eats his food in the following way without fail: meat, vegetable, starch.
+ He double knots his laces and checks them three times to ensure that they won't come undone.
+ He will always pick matches over a lighter.
+ It may make him a bit of a relic of the past, but Will prefers to use owls to relay messages over most other forms of communication. However, it should be noted that this doesn't mean that Will is incapable of using a phone/computer/iPod/etc.

Secrets:
+ He writes home to his mother daily, despite outwardly calling her an old hag.   He's nearly been caught on two occasions already.   On the first he feigned doing homework to cover up the incident.  On the second he claimed to be writing a 'Dear Jane' break up letter.

+ Will likes to compose sonnets when he's alone. No one has ever read them. No one ever will if he has anything to say about it.

+ Despite his utter hatred for it, Will knows all the words to "I Kissed a Girl" by Katy Perry.  He learned them from a previously mentioned ex-girlfriend.  There may even be a horrible, terrible video of him singing along to it.

+ Will is dyslexic and makes every effort possible to keep this information hidden from his fellow classmates.  Faculty and staff are aware of this fact however, and have been gracious enough to work with him.

+ Will talks in his sleep. The talking consists of mostly nonsensical clips and phrases.  If questioned during one of these moments, he will actually respond as though he were awake, but come morning he will have no recollection of the event. His roommate would obviously be aware of this.

What’s in your characters pockets? His comb, matches, cigarettes
Strengths:
Will is observant.  While he may not act like he's watching,  he is most often cataloging and compiling details about others.  They may or may not be used in terrible ways.

He thinks quickly on his feet and when faced with a difficult situation, Will is quick to supply a possible solution.

Will is very good at playing pranks. He's constantly looking for new and creative ways to embarrass his classmates. There won't be water balloons from around the corner, that's simply too predictable for Will's tastes. No opening up your book bag to find it filled with frogs. That's too messy. His schemes are grandiose and more often than not land him in heaps of trouble.

William enjoys alcohol. A lot. He's also quite the bartender. He needs little reason to drink and will often find any convenient excuse to make it a group affair. Who doesn't like an unsanctioned dorm party after all? At present moment he is in fact exploring ways of simply distilling his own beverages because it can get a bit pricey trying to liquor up the student body on the sly.

Will is a car enthusiast and proficient in repairing and restoring classic muscle cars. What started out as merely a summer job when he was 14 [part-time and under the table] quickly turned into a bit of an obsession. He reads many a magazine about modification, repair, and design of custom vehicles and is more than willing to get his hands dirty if it happens to be for a car.

He is blessed with the gift of perfect pitch. Learning music is as such quite a breeze.

Weaknesses:

William is prone to abandoning even those he considers his friends if the occasion merits.  He values his own success above others.  This makes him a horrible person to work with in a group setting.  He won't be the one standing there with you while you think twice and cut once, even if it has lead to him having to be assisted after the fact on more than one occasion.

Will is, for lack of better words, terrible with budgeting.  While he is quick to gain money, he's just as quick to spend it on highly frivolous things. More often than not he is flat out broke.

He is horribly stubborn and often unwilling to see reason, especially if he deems himself in the right and the other party in the wrong.

He is quick to temper and will typically resort to fist fights if he feels slighted.  It's especially a weakness because he's not exactly the best physical fighter.

Despite his outward insistence that he is handsome and charming, internally, Will frets over his appearance.  This manifests itself in the excessive hair combing, regular shining of shoes, and frequent mirror checks to ensure that not a hair is out of place.

Will procrastinates on his coursework. It's not unusual for him to be working on an essay the morning before it is due.

He can't cook anything beyond warming a can of Campbell's  soup.  The last time he tried? He nearly burned his mom's favorite potholder.

Strongest subject in school: Ritual Magic
Weakest subject in school: Transfiguration
One thing he/she can't live without: Espresso

Detailed personality: Will can be a bit difficult to pinpoint personality-wise.  He can and will show you what side of him he wants to show. He is just as likely to be shamefully cruel and cutting as he is to be a caring friend. It depends wholly on the situation at present and whether or not he feels he can benefit from being one way or the other.

He may be best described as a type A personality.  He's prone to bouts of impatience where others are concerned and can be quite hostile over the tiniest of infractions.  This is especially true if the person in question violates William's personal 'Rules of Conduct'.  On those particular occasions, Will is likely to offload on the offender, giving them a detailed verbal lashing until he believes them suitably chastised.  However, Will can be a bit of a hypocrite as he often conveniently ignores said rules when he happens to be the one breaking them.

Will enjoys competition, hence his involvement in both Quidditch and the Chess Society.  He is a bit fierce when it comes to these activities however, and will stop at nearly nothing to see to it that he's the best.  While cheating during official competition is both frowned upon and punished, Will sees nothing wrong with a little minor sabotage during practice games of Quidditch or friendly chess matches.  It's all a part of that desire to come out on top.

That being said, William is far from an evil person.  He can actually be nice and to some he's even considered a charmer.  Will may not be the kind of young man who walks old ladies across the street, but he will wave and say hello  like any polite person can and should do; he may even hold the door open for anyone coming and going.  It's rare but not unusual.  As previously mentioned, Will enjoys playing pranks on others.  He leans more on the side of doing things that will maximize laughter  and are mostly harmless.

Will likes to be the center of attention. He frequently hosts gatherings, anything from movie nights to obviously unsanctioned parties that include drinking and occasional recreational drug use. To his nearest and dearest friends (and yes he has them), Will tries to be a good listener. Tries being the key word.

Personal History: William is the only son of Alice Marie Douglass, a research librarian, and William Molineux Sr, the owner of a fairly lucrative printing company.  His parents met through a mutual friend and young Alice was immediately smitten.  As the pickings in Malvern are still to this day fairly slim (even more-so for witches and wizards), the two married after a brief courtship and some seven months later (though who's really counting) William Jr. was born.

Things were alright in the Molineux-Douglass household for the first few years of Will's life.  His parents seemed happy, in love.  At least they were until he was 5 when William's mother learned that her dear son wasn't the only child out there who bore the surname Molineux.  No, it seemed some two counties over, William Sr. had been carrying on with another woman, had started another family, and with this woman had come to have two additional children, a girl named Emma and a boy named Martin.  To say that Alice was distraught wasn't even the half of it.  She left her marriage, taking young Will with her, and moved back in with her mother, Edith.

As such, Will was raised primarily by two women, with few male role models in his life save for that of his Uncle James Cheddarmeare.  In his early youth Will would often spend his summers with Cheddy, his aunt Elaine, and cousin Jonah.  While his actual father wasn't absent from his upbringing, young William didn't get actually see his father all too often, as William Sr. was either away on business or busy with his other family.

Will has never known a day without magic in his life, however, his first personal experience with magic came the day that he turned 8, when in a fit of anger at not being allowed to go outside (because he was sick, mind you) Will made all the photos of his mother fall from the mantelpiece. Another three months went by before he experienced another magical moment. This time, he successfully steered a falling branch from hitting him .

Upon receiving his acceptance letter, Will was thrilled if not a little terrified.  He'd never really been that far from home for more than a few days time.  He threw all his clothes and important possessions haphazardly into a trunk.  His mother and grandmother were damn proud, hopeful for his success.

Will was quiet at first about his home life, as he was more than a bit embarrassed about his absent father.  However, the fact became quite public knowledge around campus once his half-siblings began attending CCI.

Upon his Freshman year, Will was sorted into Lalaurie without so much as a hitch.  To say that he was happy with the result would be a terrible understatement.  He'd always known that he was destined for greatness.  Finally, he'd get the recognition he deserved.  People would see his skill, his ability to think quickly on his feet, his unwavering determination.  At last he'd be able to ditch Malvern and make his mark on the world, and he had four whole years to figure out just what that would entail.

Now a Junior, Will still was uncertain about what that mark might be, but he was pushing for a future in politics. And he'd get there. By any means necessary.
