Well, they're your employee, you get to tell them what to do. It's like having a personal assistant, but better. Like, on set they have creative directors, who aren't photographers and aren't just fetching stuff. They also help the client or the photographer make their idea come out, so a planner would be like that. Helping with your wedding, not theirs.
