Cookies, rsync and Server Admin [24 Jan 2006|07:09am] Hrmm, well, I thought i just posted a lot, but here's some more ramble. Was kicking it with Emilie last night. Just chatting and having fun as usual. I continued working on my backup solution for both my ASO server and my local network. So I think I found out rsync is the shit and works wonders. Although I did have trouble with getting the Panther machines working...so I am not sure what I am going to do there. I was thinking about using Backup 3 when I get my new .Mac account. Stupid Apple Sales Training people are taking forever. Actually today is the last day of the 2 weeks since I finished the .Mac -- Quickstart, and they should have sent my new activation key...argh! So I will probably use Backup 3 on the Panther machines and rsync on everything else. I also spent last night and this morning working on the St. Albans Messenger server. It looks like everything is set to go on that, although I will monitor it for the next week or so... So work today, I might go riding, not sure. I have a meeting at 5:30 at SDE. Wonderful.
