I wrote this letter to my current ISP in Moretown, VT, Green Mountain Access. Basically I hate all the various ISPs we have around here cause they suck are are completely incompetent.
Dear GMAVT,
Recently I just moved into an apartment in Waterbury, although not happily. Why? Because as far as I know you (GMA) do not do DSL service in this area. That means I am stuck with Adelphia or Verizon…after asking around and doing a bit of research I went with Adelphia. Maybe that was a bad idea, in the past 2 weeks I’ve had about 5 hours of online time.
I’ve used GMA DSL since day one. I do not regret one minute or one cent I’ve spent with you. I need your service. I will do literally anything (minus moving again)…heck, I’ll sell you guys my soul!! PLEASE!!! I must have your services. I cannot stand Adelphia (I never could, I’ve always disliked them intenslely). If it was possible to run a 15 mile cable back to my home in Moretown I really would.
In other words, I just really need a miracle from you guys, or I have got to axe Adelphia and move back home to Moretown. Now I really understand what it’s like to have god-like internet services and now those 1-2 hour or 5 minute downtimes every 8-12 (if that) months from you at GMAVT are 200% acceptable, and I am on my knees asking you to provide Waterbury or just me with service.

P.S. - In the time it took me to write this email, my connection through my cable modem to Adelphia has gone on and off at least 5 times…HELP.
