MarsEdit — Blogging Software [27 Jul 2006|09:44am] I’ve been writing this post for about 5 days now! I’ve been really busy working on some new server things and playing with some cool software, more of which I’ll talk about later on. I’ve been a MarsEdit user for 5-6 months now and it’s probably one of the best pieces of blogging client software I’ve used on OS X. It’s made by the guys who do NetNewsWire a fabulous RSS reader. It works with just about every blogging software out there from Movable Type, Blogger, LiveJournal, Bloxsom, and much more. Of those much more, WordPress is included which is what I use. A really nice feature in MarsEdit is the fact that you can have multiple blogs so eventually I’ll have more then just my one WordPress blog in here. I like how you can also use the HTML snippets easily so entering in the code for an image or adding a link is made very simple. There is one thing I wish you could do and I can’t seem to figure out if you can or can’t do this. I wish you could add more categories to your post, it would just save me from have to edit the post once it’s been posted and adding in the category via WordPress’ web interface. MarsEdit is shareware but I think it’s about $20 and quite worth the $20. post comment
