// The Hurt Process - "A Heartbeat Behind" // |
] |
Been playing a lot of Call of Duty 4 over the last couple of days. I made it to the new level cap of 16, unlocked a few new weapons, challenges and perks. I'm taking a real liking to the semi-automatic sniper rifle, although I do very much love my M4A1 with it's grenade lanucher attachment!
Had my first class, Intermediate Programming for the Internet. It's basically Perl & PHP with a dash of MySQL which is nice. I don't really care to much for Perl but the PHP & MySQL could be quite valuable. Did all of the homework this morning. It's a time consuming process but it's quite easy and I understand most of it. We had to make up a quiz for the class to take, and I got it done, but it's not working the way I want. It'll only submit one of the answers you choose. For example, I have 2 multiple choice questions using radio buttons, and it'll only submit the anwer you choose to the first question...might be how my email is setup. I'm going to have Morgan look at it tommorow.
Apparently so many people got pissed off that Apple dropped the price $200 on the iPhone that Steve Jobs is giving us early adopters $100 in Apple Retail & Online Store credit. I actually didn't really care, he was pretty much right when he said, it's technology...so I am quite happy with the credit. I thought about getting either the fatty nano for $49 ($149 orginal price - $100 credit) or the new Apple Bluetooth Keyboard...dunno...either that or save it for OS X Leopard.
My other class is about as useless as I thought it was going to be, and it'll only get worse. Oh well...
I did beat Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus, but I think I wrote about that in my previous post. Great game...
We went and saw the horses today, had fun. Went to my parents and had some good food and watched some Meerkat Manor...what a show...
So that's my weekend for the most of it. emilie and I are about halfway through the second season of South Park, funny funny stuff :) I dunno what movie we're watching tonight, but hopefully it's something good. I hope tomorrow doesn't suck ass...I have a meeting with the IT lady to get my laptop checked...crap that means I need to find some AV software to install...ridiculous...fucking CCV, stupid newbs. Oh well...nighto.

// Circa Survive - "The Difference Between Medicine and Poison Is in the Dose" // |

Work was relatively interesting yesterday, although nothing that's super great. WTF...I just said 'super great'...blech. The intern in our office had a thing full of swedish fish, so I enjoyed osme of those, I haven't had those in a long time. They remind me of going to the movies, which I also haven't done in a long time. :) Soeaking of movies, I got like 12-13 new ones yesterday. Also I've pretty much given up on getting the last few episodes of Scrapped Princess, so I've scrapped it and just downloaded the individual episodes. I do hope I can get Japanese audio and English subs on them though, that sometimes ends up being a pain in my ass...
Had my first class of Windows Server Administration yesterday. Finding that was a lot easier this time around since I kinda knew where things where. I also had the IT people check out my laptop so that I could use it instead of those goddamn Dells. That went fine. I'll probably just ditch this crappy AV stuff now, how ridiculous. I probably could have made an AV icon and just shown them that instead haha So my class is full of eh people. There's one guy in there I don't mind to much, well maybe 2 and then Chinese lady (she's just funny). The other guy reminds me of one of the Hackers in Hackers 2. I think it's Jeremy Sisto...but not nearly a elite. One guy was like, "Wow, these Dells are awesome'...sure if you like shit. So we talked about Windows, nothing that I really care about, I actually told them I didn't use and will never use Windows but I was made to take this class...when we introduced ourselves. It's not that bad cause I just pretend he's talking about OS X Server and then it makes sense. We got out of class like an hour early so I cannot complain to much...although our first assignment is to write about Linux as a server...not sure if he made a typo or what...haha
Tonight is game night,hopefully Keith and Morgan can play, if not, well then I play alone and maybe I'll start up FFX-2 again...or some COD4.
