RP: Part-ay!
Who: EVERYONE
What: Quality Quidditch Supplies and Hogwarts Quidditch Tournament After Party
Where: Hogwarts - The Great Hall
When: 28th December
Rating: TBD
Status: Open!

The party was in full swing by the time the Gryffindor and Slythern players came in from the last game. The Great Hall was decorated in the four House's colors, with a large Gryffindor banner over the Head table for their win. Adrian couldn't help a short snort at the pomp surrounding him as he stepped through a side door, having come in alone from the locker rooms.

People cheered as the teams came in, none louder than the Gyrffindors (of course, some things would never change) and he noticed quite a few familiar faces in the crowd. There was a dance floor, dozens of small cocktail tables set up throughout the room, and a bar along three sides of the Hall.

Slipping out of his sports coat and slinging it over his shoulder, he made his way into the mass of people to find Pansy and get himself a stiff drink.

Cho came through the main doors of the Great Hall to the ridiculous applause of her fellow House alums and students. The candle light throughout the air flickered off of her Ravenclaw blue dress as she made her way into the crowd, stopping to get glass of elf wine at the nearest bar before catching glimpse of Harry Potter.

Smiling and waving in his direction, she caught his eye and he mouthed 'nice save' to her, making her roll her eyes and toasting him mid-air with her wine.

Wandering back toward the front of the room, where she had last scene the bulk of her House, she waved at friends and received many congratulations for the fastest save of the tournament. In all the beauty and rush of it, she wished her mum had come, but couldn't think on it too long, so she caught herself up in gossip and catching up with the other alums.

He had managed to find a decent button down black shirt and a pair of black trousers, as he didn't think that wearing jeans and a t-shirt or jumper would have let him into the after-party. Ridiculous events, but Michael told Cho he would be there and he didn't want to disappoint her.

She had flown brilliantly in the tournament and it was the only thing that Michael believed to be the saving grace to what he considered to be a total Quidditch flop for Ravenclaw.

Michael found Cho socializing, and sneaking up behind her he put his hands over her eyes and whispered in her ear with a grin:

"Guess who? You have three guesses and the first two don't count."

"Mikey!" Cho squealed, feeling more herself than she had in months, and she spun in his arms, totally ignoring the 'Claw girls who were clammering after her for another recap of her save. She dove at him in a hug, "You made it!" Stepping back and fixing her hair she sighed, "And you cleaned up!" Her friend looked wonderful, even she could admit, and gave him a cheeky grin and a pinch to his side.

"Did you see the games or only come for the booze?" She joked.

Stepping back a bit, Michael laughed and pulled Cho up in his arms for a hug, swinging her around which caused the others that had milled around her to move out of the way.

"Of course I did. What do you think? Not as stuffy as some of these poncy gits, but presentable enough," he said after putting her down and preening in front of her.

"Oi!" Being ticklish, Michael grabbed Cho's hand after letting out a 'manly' squeak.

He managed to lean over and give her a friendly kiss on the cheek.

"A bit of both, actually but when I heard you were seeking for Ravenclaw I knew I couldn't miss out. As usual, you were smashing on the pitch. Too bad Chambers had to get knocked out of the game," he said, frowning a little.

The tournament was a thrilling event although tarnished by the fact Gryffindor had won, as per usual. She looked over at the crowd of young Gryffindors still of school age crowing loudly over their house's victory in disgust. Some things never changed.

Her dress was lovely and warm, perfect for watching the games in the windy stands and yet fancy enough to wear to the after party. She wasn't going to go too over the top, after all, it was only Hogwarts. Pansy listened to Daphne chat about something or rather - okay, correction, she wasn't really listening but it was polite to pretend to and Daphne was suppose to be her friend. Her eyes darted every so often to the doors as they open to see who had ventured in.

After her outing with Cho the week before, Penelope had done some serious clothes and make-up shopping prior to the big event at Hogwarts. One of the sales clerks had even convinced her to buy a gown that was rather low cut in the front, saying to Penelope that she had the perfect figure for it (which to Penelope meant that she was flat-chested enough).

The entire tournament was fun, albeit quite frustrating for a Ravenclaw, and Penelope was more than a little nervous showing up for the after-party.

She had given her cloak to cloak-check, and instantly wondered if the dress she had decided to actually wear was the right thing. A wizard had openly looked at her chest with a raised eyebrow before passing her by.

"Oh hell," Penelope muttered, making her way into the Great Hall and hoping to find a kindred friend who could ease her nerves. Either a friend or a glass of alcohol would be very welcome.

Alicia had thoroughly enjoyed playing with her old teammates. Though she was a Harpy, there was still nothing quite like flying alongside the Twins, Angie, Olly and Harry. She only wished that Katie had joined in, then it really would have been like the old days. She'd changed into a simple knee length black dress and the pink heeled Converses the Twins had bought her that Christmas, and was currently catching up with as many people as she could.

Out of the corner of her eye she spotted someone she recognized, but hadn't seen in years and had to do a double take. Smiling as she approached the other witch, she complimented her outfit in true Lici style. 'Bloody hell, Penelope Clearwater, look at you! You look gorgeous in that dress! You must tell me where you got it.'

Ladylike, Alicia was not.

Laughing, Penelope looked down at herself and was pleased by the compliment. The other witch's bluntness was what Penny was used to on the dragon reserve. None of this swarmy compliments that sounded very fake.

"Why thank you! I feel a bit on display, but the seamstress assured me I could pull it off. It's actually a muggle creation from Tres Jolie in London."

She then held out her hand to the other witch. "You know my name but I don't think I remember you. I'm so sorry!"

Alicia smiled brightly as he compliment was taken in the way it was intended. She knew she could be far too forward at times or blunt, but that was what came of growing up with only brothers. 'You definitely pull it off. Tres Jolie? I'll have to take a look.'

Shaking her head at the apology, Lici shook Penelope's hand in greeting. 'No need to apologise. I'm Alicia Spinnet. I remember everyone, even if I've only met them once. Quite handy but it can spook people sometimes.'

She waved to Wood as he passed before turning her attention back to the witch before her. 'So, how are you? George mentioned he saw you at the Leaky. You worked with his brother Charlie didn't you?'

Terry had been looking forward to the Quidditch tournament, and had dressed in Ravenclaw colors to support his former house. Although Ravenclaw hadn't won, they'd made a good show of it and Terry had enjoyed cheering himself hoarse for Ravenclaw. And now, it was time to party and there was nothing Terry enjoyed more than a good party.

He was already a few drinks deep when he went in search for good conversation.

Ron was bouncing around like Nessie and Caff, running over to former schoolmates and chatting like there was no tomorrow. Some people he saw more often than others and he always liked to be sociable when he could. George hadn't appeared yet, which he found a little odd, but Freddie was there surrounded by a crowd as usual... and with Oliver, again, as usual.

His other UK based siblings were somewhere around the place too, but he could see them any time, weaving through the crowd he searched for more familiar faces. Spotting a blue clad beanpole, he grinned. 'Alright, Terry?'

Terry grinned at Ron, and toasted him with his glass. He wasn't quite sure what he was drinking, just that it was an electric orange in color and quite tasty. In fact, he'd had three and didn't think there was any alcohol at all in them.

"Ron! Where have you been hiding yourself?"

Both eyebrows shot up at the colour of the drink in Terry's glass. It was almost as bright as Weasley hair, surely something that orange would be extra-tasty, he'd have to try some later. 'That looks like Weasley juice.' The possible second meaning of his words were completely lost on Ron. He never thought how wrongly some things he said could be taken.

'Ministry mostly, then Never Land and The Burrow. What about you? I haven't seen you in ages. Melted any cauldrons recently?'

Harry came in to riotous applause, not just from his Housemates new and old. It felt... It felt like the old days, if he were honest with himself. Grinning, hugging, shouting with the crowd he made his way over to the bar and wondered where his friends were all hiding themselves, not that he didn't see most of them at work on a regular basis anyway.

Waving to familiar faces, he saw his mum and dad dancing in the crowd and laughed to himself, wondering if he might get a dance with his mum before the night was over.

Bill had entered the hall and couldn't help but grin. He had come home for Christmas in a surprise visit, turning up on the doorstep of The Burrow bright and early Christmas morning. His Mum had been over the moon and then chastised him for not owling ahead or at least turning up when it was daylight outside. Apparently four o'clock in the morning was not a sane hour to be walking about and making social calls.

But back to the present. As soon as he had heard about the tournament, Bill was keen to watch his siblings play. He wasn't much of a player, himself, but he enjoyed seeing a good game of Quidditch - and the Gryffindor versus Slytherin match was no exception.

He was near the bar, chatting to another alum from his year but from a different house when he spotted the man of the hour had arrived. He excused himself and moved over to Harry to congratulate his youngest brother's best friend on his team's victory.

"Brilliant flying out there today, Harry. Glad I didn't miss it."

"Oh thanks, man," Noticing who it was, Harry lunged in for a hug, effectively getting himself out of the crowd while he was at it. "What are you doing here? Ron didn't owl!" Harry could ring his best mates neck, it was rare all the Weasleys were in one place.

"You came up for Christmas?" Harry had spent the holiday quietly with his parents. He'd gotten a small package of Parisian macaroons from Jean and his daughter, Abelle, but mostly he'd spent the day talking Quidditch with his Dad and magic with his Mum. There was nothing like a Weasley Christmas though - all flash and bang and Twins hilarity.

Bill chuckled, giving the younger man a friendly hug. "Come on, Potter. You've been best mates with Ron for how long? Surely you should know by now that Ron doesn't write." He replied with a crooked grin, being a little cheeky. It was nice to relax and joke around with his siblings and friends. He missed it a lot while in Egypt.

At Harry's question, Bill hummed and nodded. "Turned up on the doorstep at four am. Parents were thrilled, of course." He left the details out, knowing Harry could probably imagine his family's reactions with just that bit of knowledge.

"So, did you have a good Christmas?" Bill inquired, naturally curious. "Oh, and did you get the jumper our mother sent? She was a bit worried about the sizing because she claims she hasn't seen you in a while." Of course, if that wasn't a hint for Molly's boys to invite the Potters over to The Burrow, Bill would eat his hat. Not that he was currently wearing a hat. So, being the good son he passed along the hint.
