Noah!
While Odette had meant 'immediately' in her owl, it'd taken some time to collect herself enough to be able to apparate home. Home. Well, technically Noah's home, since it was his parents' and therefore--- that didn't matter. Why was she thinking about that? Considering... she rubbed her hands into her face as she lethargically went up the porch steps, finding that no amount of applied force could seemingly snap her from this daze. It was considerably late in the night too, leaning toward an hour she had not seen since her extreme socializing years, and she felt---

Disgusting. Utterly and completely--- gross, like her skin was crawling off her body with each numb motion. The fact that her recent aversion to hygienic habits might have something to do with it did not occur to her, and instead she listlessly stood on the porch, unsure what to do next. Going inside might wake up the children, and as much as she longed to see them... it wouldn't be right. And it wouldn't--- Odette wouldn't feel welcome without Noah's acceptance first. So---

Noah. Noah. Her heart ached when she thought of him, for reasons more than one. Odette couldn't begin to explain the complex emotions that had been sustaining her for the past few weeks, as it also seemed they changed at whim. She didn't--- know what to think, all she knew was how she felt, and it was all very confusing and emotional--- now she wanted to cry, again. She hated crying. Only weak wizards cried, and she felt them coming already.

Unable to move any further, Odette wrapped her arms around herself. She could feel her face heating up and her eyes swelling, but it felt too much like an uncontrollably body function to stop them just yet. So instead, she turned to expose her back to the front door in an attempt to control herself. She was such a mess.

NOAHH
While Odette usually hated being surprised, she would be lying if she said she didn’t enjoy playing the part of surpriser. How could you not? Knowing something when someone else didn’t was the best part, and probably why she disliked being caught off guard the most-- she did not like being out of the loop. But luckily this time she was the only person in this loop, and felt it was a very good surprise, despite not normally doing things like this.

Half of her was also just really excited to see Noah’s face when he walked in to see her lounging on his desk..... which was located in the Astronomy tower at Hogwarts.

A little smile formed on her lips as she leaned over to play with one of the trinkets on his desk as she waited. It had been too easy! All you had to do was be extra careful in corridors; Hogwarts’ gossip circuit was more notorious than the Tattler, and the hallways were definitely its headquarters. But she had run into no fans, making her feel comfortable with the fact that this would be a not something he would hear whispers about from his students.

Hearing the door knob finally click, Odette quickly crossed her legs and leaned back to rest on her palms. With a quick shake of her hair, she idly tilted her head to her shoulder. “Hello Professor,” she purred.

Halloween Gala - Open to All! for the 31st

Henry had shaken more hands tonight than he had in his entire career as a quidditch agent. It seemed like everyone was in agreement; the charity was a great idea and this fundraiser was turning out to be a huge success. Henry was the first to turn the talk to his brother, telling those who approached him that Seth was the mind behind it all, but apparently his brother had been boasting the exact opposite, and Henry was receiving praise he didn't normally receive.

It could really make a bloke feel like a million galleons, to tell you the truth.

Standing at a corner of the dance floor to get a good view of things, Henry felt someone slink particularly close to him and he smiled down at his glowing girlfriend. While it had taken Henry about a week to be able to talk normally without a stutter after Heidi had revealed the news, he was now brimming with pride in just about all aspects of his life.

"Are you having a good time?" he asked, putting a hand to her lower back. Henry had been scolded to not fret as much, so he refrained from asking if she was tired and needed to sit, or go home! He'd go home if she wished. "The band should be starting up again soon."

CHRISTMAS PARTY [BACKDATED TO 23RD]

After making a quick stop to check on the children upstairs (Anthony and Elijah looked so precious), Mackenzie continued on her normal perimeter around the party. Ensuring there was enough food and drink for everyone was extremely important, as well as making sure that no-one was left standing by themselves too long. That would hardly promote good review upon later reminiscing among their guests. But luckily, neither of these issues had seem to come up yet, leaving her with little host responsibilities.

So that left Mackenzie practically purring, as she had been for most of the night. The party could not be going better. The house looked beautiful thanks to her near-obsessive decorating, Christmas spirit was in full swing, and everyone looked like they were truly enjoying themselves. Nothing could go wrong, absolutely nothing, making Mackenzie feel her happiest in what seemed like a very long time. This had been a very good idea! Maybe if things continued like this, she could convince Sebastian to make this their annual holiday tradition...

Couldn't be too careful, though. Just for good measure, Mackenzie picked a few of her husband's favorite hors d'oeuvres as they passed by above, placing them on a plate. Finding him was easy; ever since she had gotten back, Sebastian had replaced her shadow. Not in a bad or stifling way, but in more of a supporting kind of way. She knew he was worried.

"I have a present for you," she smiled, producing the plate with one hand as the other wrapped around his open arm.

NOAH
Her hands were shaking. Her hands were shaking. Her hands never shook. In fact, Odette's entire body was shaking, and that had never happened before in her life. Not when she experienced sleep deprivation, certainly not when she was food deprived and never because of any kind of emotional state either. But now, she couldn't even hold the cup of hot liquid Martin had stopped trying to replace into her hands. It would just slip or fall because she couldn't-- think, couldn't breathe, despite finally finding Noah because--- something was wrong, there was something very wrong with him and the Healers---

Odette suppressed a sob as she sunk further into her chair. Martin had gone to contact Noel, as well as everyone else, leaving her alone for the time being. They had found Noah a few hours ago, and since then the Healers had whisked him away and-- nothing. She didn't-- know what to do what could she do? The children asleep, home, despite being jumped around to a new bed practically every night in the past two weeks. And-- and--- her mind couldn't help but jump to what had consumed her during that time.

What could death eaters have possible wanted with Noah? What-- what? What did this mean? Did this mean they weren't safe anymore? That they-- wanted-- was it because of the planetarium? Because he looked at stars all day and night? Or was it-- was it because of her? Because she was a face people recognized? It didn't--- none of it made any sense, and because she had buried her hands into her face, she hadn't noticed a Healer come up to her until she had tapped her on the shoulder.

Jumping up, Odette raced after the Healer showing her the way to Noah's room. Visitors were being permitted, that was a good sign, wasn't it? She couldn't focus on what the Healer was saying to her, even as hard as she tried to watch her lips, it was too difficult. The Healer opened the door too slowly for her taste, and as a result Odette skidded to the only bed in the room so quickly her feet felt dislodged from her body. Noah-- Noah--

"Hi," she choked out, her hand immediately reaching out for his.

BLACK OUT!
Gabriel was silently wording his opening lines for the next segment of news when the lights dropped. He lifted his head in a curious manner, having been standing away from the news desk and wondering if it was just a backdrop thing. It wasn't exactly peculiar, there had been men working on the spells earlier this week which had caused the lighting charms to flicker and crackle. He let out a breath and stood where he was, watching as nearly everyone around him performed lumos with their wands. Gabriel supposed he should as well, and wondered if this sort of incident would mess up the wireless airwaves. He didn't know much about the magic behind the WWN, but he supposed those who did would fix things.

He muttered to his assistant that he was going to go into the corridor to see if it was only their studio that had gone out, and she quickly skittered away to find the snack trays. Gabriel let out a breath, sighing at the thought of having to stay at work later because of this delay. He had dinner plans for Rachel and the children, he did not need the annoyance of pushing back reservations. As he pushed out into the hallway, he let out a groan at the darkness. His wand was soon out and he felt awfully tired, frustrated that his day was going to be spent in near darkness.

"Do you have light?" he called out to a figure down the hall, noticing a brighter light than that of a normal lit wand. "The spells have gone out over here, it's pitch---"

Why had he been so languid in his movements just now? Darkness overcoming the WWN studios? In the middle of Diagon Alley? Diagon Alley, which was the near breeding ground for death eater attacks. Gabriel wished he had the mindset to jump to the worst possible conclusion, but the spell the cloaked death eater shot off sliced him across the side of the head, knocking him out cold and to the ground.

If he didn't die today, right now, Rachel was going to kill him.

noah!
Odette slammed her journal shut, letting out a loud string of frustrated words and noises. The nerve of that-- that--- thing to come back here! England (which also included Scotland and Wales) was her home, where her family lived, which meant he was never invited to come back here! Ever! Hadn't playing for the one of the best teams in the world been good enough? Of course not, nothing ever was--- just like how every moment he continued to exist made her want to scream and rip things apart.

And now she would have to play against him. That-- that--- that-- no matter how many times she reread his stupid journal entry, or pinched herself, she could not get rid of this realization. So he was fucking back. Great. Which meant it would only be a matter of time before he came knocking on their door, like always, infuriating and guilting her until no end!

Keeping her eyes closed, Odette attempted to push these thoughts out of her head. Not--- now, this was not for now. Later, she would deal with this catastrophe later. Today was Noah's birthday. He had no idea about this... situation, so there was absolutely no reason to bring it up now. No need to force him to realize she was keeping yet another skeleton from him. She took a few deep breaths, composing herself before returning back downstairs. Fuck whatever she had come up here to get, that was a lost cause now.

"Time for birthday cake!" She clapped her hands together as she spoke, lending a big smile to her family at the table before continuing on to the kitchen for their desert.

Odetter!
"Terry never really had a...theme," Noah began to explain as he stared at the blank walls of the room that was to be a nursery. He blinked at the white canvas he and Odette had to decorate, not a single idea coming to mind. "It was sort of...stick the crib in my bedroom and be done with it. He didn't mind I don't think."

He looked down at his son, who was passed out on a pile of paint blankets that were supposed to be used to keep the floor clean. Noah had never magically painted, and while it was much easier than the muggle way, he knew that there were still hazards. He turned to Odette with a shrug, hoping she had a better idea of what to do than he did. It had never really occurred to him that you could do so much with a kid's room, and how it could change the way they behave, and Noah hoped Terry didn't become a neanderthal for not having a well decorated room his first year and a half of life.

If left up to him, the walls would probably just be painted a bright, bright pink because that's what girls liked, right?

Yes, what girls liked, what his little girl would like. Except Odette didn't know it was a little girl, and he had to keep the secret to himself or feel the wrath of the woman standing beside him. But he liked knowing he was going to have a daughter to spoil rotten with pink frilly things.

"A farm. A jungle. A..." He grinned, "Noah's ark."
