Grail!
Scarlett truly hated playing against the Wasps. Ludo Bagman’s face on that gigantic screen brought literal pains to her chest, and it was as if he made it a point to be in her line of vision just to flash her that smirk of his. Ugh. Playing for the Wasps had been the worst season of her life and she hated having to relive it every time they played in Wimbourne.

It was probably an attempt at a scare tactic, she thought as she readied herself for the quickly approaching swarm of players. Bagman was trying to get into her head so that she got distracted, but Scarlett was better than that. It was going to take more than his ugly face to get that quaffle through one of her hoops. Left, right, left, she watched the red ball get tossed back and forth, just out of the grasp of their chaser. Carys was going to swoop in at any second from below, and Tristan from the top, but until then---

She winced at the sight of a bludger smacking the Wasps’ chaser straight in the gut, sending him flying off his broom. Her eyes followed the quaffle that had dropped down with him. Scarlett lurched forward to accept the ball from Carys (coming from below, as she had predicted), and it was only because of the gasp of the crowd that she looked up and managed to see the broomstick before it hit her.

The crowd fell silent. )

For 3/14!
Scarlett took a step back so that the fan could get a proper shot with their camera, the flash nearly blinding her. But, she maintained her smile. How could she not? She'd just finished playing the best game of her life! Ever! She was never going to do anything like that again---but who knew? The World Cup was far from over. As she was handed quill upon quill to sign her autograph away on a wide variety of parchment, shiny paper she wasn't sure of, pictures of herself, jerseys---one goal. She'd only let in one goal!

"I've got an action figure?" she let out in genuine, loud surprise as a fan presented her with the toy. The little figurine of her strode around the crevices of her palm and Scarlett gaped in awe. "Thank you! I didn't know this had---thanks!"

That fan got a special picture as Scarlett threw her arm around his neck. Merlin! She tucked the figure into her front pocket and continued down the line. This was quite literally the best day of her life. Scarlett couldn't think of a single time she'd felt happier, she couldn't wait to go meet up with her parents tomorrow morning for breakfast (it was far too late for her elderly folks to go out for celebrations). She just...it was just bloody fantastic.

"And who should I make this out to?" she asked, not looking up at the fan as she took hold of the match program. Scarlett scrawled her signature over her image on the cover, grinning at how remarkable her bloody team was.

Hogsmeade Valentine's Spectacular! Friday, the 14th
Now, Holly was definitely not someone who enjoyed the frills and lace of Valentine's Day. Usually, she hated it, it was in the top five list of things she hated, but this year? She felt like celebrating. It had been a damn good year, and Holly was taking every opportunity to showcase the good bloody mood she'd been in. Sure, there had been its blips (McCormack owed her quite some bit), and each moment made her appreciate each and every day.

But that was the sort of sappy stuff she and her husband didn't say, so that was why she had insisted that their visit to Hogsmeade tonight was to crack jokes and judge the couples that took this holiday way too seriously.

It was turning out to not be as horrendous as one may have thought. Hogsmeade was a village on display, each store front lit up with lights, the street lamps giving off sprays of glitter and confetti as couples walked past. The different food places had set up heating spells around outside tables and counters, the aroma completely filling her every sense. The lake had turned into a beautiful ice rink, while a magical ferris wheel lit up the sky. The village had always amazed her, knowing that it was the only place in the country wizards and witches could be completely at ease with their magic outside of Hogwarts.

"Good thing they didn't let the kiddies out," Holly said, eyes catching sight of the castle in the distance. "They'd ruin the romance."

- Hogsmeade is open to all! The village streets are sort of like a Valentine's fair, hosted by Madam Puddifoot's (so you know there's some cheesy stuff).
- For some ADDED FUN, a little trickster has laced the chocolate supply with a truth serum. The amount of chocolate your character ingests, the more truthful/the longer they are under its spell. Soo...that could lead to some fun, y/y? >:D
- ALSO, for players on non British Isles teams, this is the last weekend to be home because practice for the WC starts after Valentine's Day! So get those feels out because you're shipping out!

Posted for this Friday!

It had been a long, long year for St. Mungo's.

Mark stood with a long flute of champagne in one hand, taking slow, deep breaths. The rearing of the ugly virus' head had given the year a bad, bad start, but here they were. Lives had been lost, but so many had been saved. Mark felt bittersweet about celebrating the year, but he knew events like this needed to be held to keep the hospital running. The donations were used to buy new supplies, potion remedies, and to provide for better training for their healers. Everything was being spun into a positive manner, Mark just wished that it didn't have to be such a lavish event to do so.

"Do you think it's too much?" he said to his wife, looking down at Hannah with a worried smirk. If anything, the night provided a reason for his wife to doll herself and look even more fantastic than she normally did. They deserved a night out, especially now that their trio of children was complete.

Charity Dinner! Open to All! For Saturday!

for more information

He stared at his reflection in the back of the bar area, his face refracted by the different panes of glass. Henry had long left his assigned seat at a table full of some of the highest donors of the night. They had found it to be such an honor that he was seated with them, that to be dining beside someone who must be so strong to go through this travesty was something to brag about. Henry had silently and barely acknowledged them, allowing their obsession with themselves and their egos to draw the conversation away from him.

The empty glass cracked loudly against the counter of the bar as he finished the drink. Henry could feel himself starting to feel slow and sluggish, but if he was forced to be here then he was going to do it on his own terms. If that meant getting so pissed that he slept under the bar for the rest of the night, then so be it.

Someone slipped onto the stool beside him, but seeing as there was no one that Henry wished to speak to tonight, he dropped his gaze back to his empty glass and tapped the side so that it could magically fill up once more.
