Places
All maps are featured here.

I'm sure there are other settings that may become important; they will be added as players create them. There is another continent on Aylasia (called Meridian), but I doubt we'll actively use it in the game (if we do we'll add it to the map).

The Towns/Districts
Fellwich
A rural area in the Northern part of the mainland. Known for its vineyards and wineries, there isn't much else in Fellwich.
Hamlin (formerly Great Spot)
A town just outside New Meridian, though not nearly so quiet as Salem. The town was named for Hamlin Graves 200 years ago. It was formerly Great Spot for it's circular streets and insane town planning that makes it look like a dot on the map. There are many residences here, but more business than there is in Salem. There is a river that runs through Hamlin and into Salem; it hails from the north and springs from a lake there.
Homestead
A sparse and rural community just outside of New Meridian, nestled next to Salem. It is a residential area with a few families spread out over the countryside. There are some warehouses scattered about in the more remote areas.
Little Spot
A small community located between Hamlin, Marik, and the Marion Woods. It is almost entirely comprised of faeries and their families.
Lyonesse
Another northern region of the mainland. It's a warmer climate. There are palm trees, pastel colors, and art deco architecture. The drunk boat for Isla Partei leaves from the docks on the northern end of Lyonesse.
Marik
Within Marik is a great lake which flows into the Cadogen River. There is sparse forest in the outskirts of Marik. Once there one will not notice it as being anything spectacular. It is a simple city with a wide range of simple folk and mages. As they are quite a distance from New Meridian, they rarely concern themselves with the politics. They are much happier to just use their magic for the betterment of their community. The people of Marik are simple and uncomplicated. They adore the officials who call the place home and hold no grudge to anyone for long periods of time.
The Marion Woods
There is an area of woods and wilderness just south of Salem. Werewolves are purported to live there, but not many are willing to go and confirm.
New Meridian
Map
The big city. The King's Palace is located here as is a majority of the governing body of Aylasia (mostly Parliament, some outlying offices are located in Salem). It is a busy place for commerce and trade, always filled with activity. The buildings here are taller than in other places and the streets are wide avenues for walking and biking (as cars aren't favored in Aylasia, if they were they'd be like the early model T). Crime isn't particularly a problem here, since most Officials have authority to stop and punish minor crimes in progress; however it isn't advisable to hang around dark alleys alone.
Salem
A town located just outside New Meridian. It is a pleasant and quiet place to live, with the exception of the school which is mostly loud and filled with the enthusiasm of learning. Mostly suburb like with some areas set aside for business, and a few outlying offices of Parliament. There is a river that runs from Hamlin into Salem.
Telern
A rather scary place with threatening people and even more threatening animals. It is the Northernmost part of the mainland. Southern Telern is not as scary and probably safer to travel through.

The Islands
Cadogan Island
Near the middle of Cadogan Lake is an island, cleverly named Cadogan Island.
Isla Nuit
An island on which it is always night, a haven for vampires. Creatures and mages other than vampires can travel or stay on the island, but they usually need a vampire guide to protect them (otherwise they're fair game for lunch). No one seems to know how the island is always night. It may have been a spell cast by vampires, or simply by some magic of the island itself.
Isla Partei
The island for jetsetters and party people. In the mood for an indiscretion? Isla Partei is the place for you.
Kakusareta Island
A hidden Daemon island where the daemon arts are practiced openly. Very few people know of it.
Linoa Island
A volcanic island in the tropical sector of Aylasia. It's not well inhabited because of the constant upheaval of the semi-active volcano. Most people who live there can control both iron and fire elements (which makes living on the island more bearable). Beyond that most of its inhabitants are very particular about who is living there and will shun people who are not established as a part of their culture. They really hate the concept of tourism and have been known to harass visitors until they leave. For the most part Linoa is known as a place where crazy people live and as the crazy people don't let anyone in no one can get a decent account of what the island is really like.
Sparrow Island
A remote, tropical island that is almost off the map. It's a magical hot spot where the land directs the magical energy into healing. Many people travel to it to stay for a few days to see if they can be healed, though it doesn't work for every one nor every ailment. The land cannot be built upon, so no one has made a serious attempt to stay and study how the magic works.

Other Settings/Places
Beausmiths
This location is for Beyond the Graves only. A shop located in the reputable business district of New Meridian. The proprietor, Marcel Beaumont does some jewelry work, but more often he does custom pieces (art, furniture, and more discreet sorts of work).
Cadogan Lake
The lake resting in Marik. There is a limnatide of the lake, also named Cadogan, a disgraced prophet.
Cadogan Lake Detention Facility
The C.L.D.F. (as it's known for short) is located at the bottom of Cadogan Lake. It can only be reached by means of magical travel. It is a long term detention facility for criminals in Aylasia who cannot be rehabilitated, or whose crimes were severe. The C.L.D.F. also has a base for its officers and their families (if they so choose) that sits on Cadogan Island.
The Cadogan River
It flows from the north out of Cadogan Lake through Marik, Hamlin, Salem, and Homestead.
Cap Ou Pas Cap
A peculiar shop that sells various inventions that may or may not have been tested. Located in Hamlin.
The Dark Way
New Meridian's shady, criminal element. This is a street of the beaten path where one can get all manner of "forbidden" spells and potions and other things that are discouraged in proper mage society. Cressida Wolff has a shop down this street.
The Dirty Vegas
This location is for Beyond the Graves only. It's a brothel previously owned and run by Reed Graves. It has a casino, a spa, a lounge and bar. Reed gave the brothel to his brother Aiden who now runs it.
Graves Hall
It's a place where magic is discussed and celebrated, kind of like an Elks Lodge for privileged mages. One must be invited by Hamlin Graves to enter Graves Hall. He has peculiar tastes and invites a strange group of people to enter the hall, for seemingly non-existent reasons though Ham insists he has a method. Located in the town of Hamlin.
The Hamlin Marketplace
A series of shops, mostly green grocers and the associated sorts of businesses. Located in Hamlin.
Helin Hotel
One of the many hotels on Isla Partei, owned by the Lossehelin family. It's a very upscale, classy hotel on the rich end of the island.
The King's Office
Located in the King's Palace. This is where he or she signs and writes into law all manner of things and handles any other business and kingly duties.
The King's Palace
An ornate building situated on a hill near the center of New Meridian. Visitors may tour officially approved parts of the palace. Some are invited into the palace for grand dinners and balls, occasionally there are open events for all the citizens.
Marik Academy
Marik Academy is a school for mages located in the North. Inside the smaller version of Salem, mages learn in a caring environment. Of course the normal politics of a school roam about, and mages, like normal school children, form loves and friendships along with enemies. In other words, Marik and its Academy of magic are nothing other than absolutely normal.
Marik Alps
The mountain range that sits in Marik. There are many private ski bungalows scattered through the mountains, owned by the wealthy and privileged.
Martiniques
A very fancy restaurant on Silk Road that serves a variety of foods. The front of the building is covered in beautiful flowers.
New Meridian Clinic
A health clinic in New Meridian run by healers.
New Meridian Training Hall
Another training hall for the martial arts.
Omnibus Club
A several stories high night club that has themed floors. They cater to many tastes.
Parliament
The governing building, officials come in and out of the government offices all the time. It is usually a busy place. It is situated at the bottom of the hill, very near the King's Palace. Described as gray brick with a domed ceiling. Located in New Meridian.
Racegrounds
These are located in New Meridian. Every year they host the Grand Derby Stakes, a famous set of races involving centaurs, as well as a weekend long event that is hosted at various locations throughout New Meridian.
Salem Academy
A school where most mages in the game go or went (unless they were in a different area and went to another magic school). It accepts students from Salem, Hamlin, New Meridian, and further if they are gifted enough. There is a small boarding dorm for students that do not live in Salem and several houses which the Scholars share. Lesser School ranges from ages 7 (considered first grade age) until 12. Middle School ranges from ages 13 to 19 (when a mage is considered an adult). Upper school ranges from ages 20 to 27. It is optional for one to go to Upper School. University is the final school and is occupied by anyone ages 27 and up. It is a place for scholars not to learn but to discover and record, to study and devise new forms of magic or invention. A term of one's scholarship (which is free) is that scholars must teach at the lower schools, usually in a subject they are skilled at, or studying in depth. Located in Salem.

There are no grades at Salem Academy. If a student doesn't do well in a subject it is typically because they have no ability or that they don't care to learn it. In this case they are encouraged to try other subjects. It is a learning environment with few consequences.
Silk Road
New Meridian's red light district. It's a long, narrow winding street lined with various brothels. Quality ranges from high-end establishments to grimy cathouses that cater to anyone's tastes depending on if you know where to look and how much you're willing to spend.

Places outside of Aylasia
Burnham City
A fictional city set in the "real world."
Faerie
A special dimension where Faeries live and play.
Las Vegas
Something of an AU LV, which can be reached by way of interdimensional travel.
New York City
This is something of an AU NYC, which can be reached by way of Interdimensional travel.
