It was easy for Rodolphus to ignore the whispers that followed him as he walked down the halls of Hogwarts. People tended to whisper about his wife wherever he went, and now that his parents had made a big display in the papers they whispered about Rabastan like crazy. It wasn't anything new. Rodolphus wasn't even sure Rabastan would stay in the Slytherin dorms now, but he hoped his brother had enough pride not to crawl away with his tail between his legs.

When he reached the Slytherin common room, it only took grabbing a first-year by the shoulder to get the door open. Rodolphus looked around, trying not to smile at how familiar it was, and strode through to the sixth-year dorms. He found his brother's bed and looked down at the lump in the covers, lighting a fag and then sitting beside his brother. "I hope you're sleeping in because you spend the night having wild sex with your gay lover, not because you're worried about what everyone's saying," he said, pulling the sheets half-off Rabastan.

Walden frowned when Rabastan mentioned his father, glancing at Rodolphus. "All three of them deserve to die," he said, voice harsh. "I'm going to make sure it happens. Your parents are just easier to kill than my father."

"I don't doubt that," Rodolphus said, eying Macnair for a moment. Rodolphus had some, brief, first hand experience with Walden Macnair Sr. He assumed Walden had been through something similar to Rabastan. "I managed to get my parents to stop letting your father hurt Rabastan, but I couldn't think of a way to get them to stop. I like your solution."

	Rabastan smiled at his brother and then glanced at Walden. "We should do it soon. Sometime soon. Before Christmas. That way it's done before it's time for me to go home somewhere. "Walking?" Rodolphus suggested with a shrug. "As long as you have an excuse in case you got caught trying to leave the grounds, it's not hard to get out. I could talk to Lucius. Make sure he knows two give you a wide berth."

He glanced between the two of them. "Macnair might be a bit more noticable, but what fifth year Hufflepuff Prefect is going to question you?"

"None," Walden said. He looked at Rabastan. "Your boyfriend and his friends have a reputation for being able to get away with anything. You could ask him."

	Rabastan thought about Remus for a moment, then looked Walden over. "Are you sure it's the safest idea to ask Remus how to sneak out of the castle without him wondering why I'm sneaking out with anyone who isn't him?" He arched a brow at Walden. Walden shrugged. "He's a Gryffindor. Isn't there whole thing trusting people? Tell him you're sneaking out to see your brother or something. It's not like Rodolphus is going to rat you out." Rabastan was already lying to Remus, sort of. He was fucking Walden behind his back.

Rodolphus wasn't sure if Walden knew how obvious he was being about his crush on Rabastan. If the man wasn't so scary, it would have been cute. "I'm sure we can figure something out without you having to lie to your boyfriend, Bastan."

	Rabastn glanced between the two of them and nodded. "Alright. We'll have to figure out a way to do this without full on lying to Remus. I'm fine with lying to him a little bit." He ran a hand through his hair. "And like I said. Walden and I can dispose of the bodies. Will you be able to have a night where your father won't be home to discover us?" Walden wasn't sure about that. "Even if he's in the castle, he probably won't see us on the bog," he said, after a moment. "He spends most nights drinking. If he does see us, we'll be able to get away before he can catch us."

Rodolphus wasn't sure that sounded safe for them, but he kept his mouth shut. "If you need an alibi, Bella and I will vouch for you. Either of you." He glanced at Walden. "It's not like most people don't know you've fucked her, so that's easy for them to believe, and Rabastan and I could have been visiting if they ask."

Rabastan wasn't so sure about sneaking past Walden's father either. It sounded dangerous. But, he nodded and looked at Walden. All he really wanted to do was kiss him, but he thought that Walden may kill him if he tried. He looked him over for a moment and then cleared his throat. "Right. Well.."

He frowned. "Could you stop talking about Walden fucking Bellatrix. It's making me nauseous."

Rodolphus snorted, looking at Rabastan. "A little jealous?" he asked. "Or is it just the thought of my wife's vagina that's putting you off? You know, you could have come out to me a long time ago. I've known you were queer for years."

Walden felt self-satisfied when Rabastan said he didn't want to hear about him fucking Bellatrix. "She was boring," he said. "Women are always boring. They expect you to do all the work."

Rabastan frowned at Rodolphus. "I didn't think that I had to come out to you. I figured you already knew." He pointed out and then glanced at Walden. He didn't want him to know he was jealous. But, he was.

"Bellatrix is disgusting. The fact that your dick has been in here makes me not want..." Rabastan cut himself off. "I should get out of bed." He said. "And get dressed."

"Of course I knew. I just assumed that at some point you'd tell me instead of glaring at me every time I mentioned it off hand," Rodolphus said, shrugging. "Don't call my wife disgusting. She's lovely, and I should get back to her. Owl me, Bastan. If you need money or anything else. You know I'll provide it for you."

He stood up, glancing at Walden. "If you hurt Rabastan, I'll make sure you hurt too, Macnair. I don't care how big you are."

Walden frowned at Rodolphus. "Fuck off," he said. What was Lestrange even talking about? Rabastan liked getting hurt.

	Rabastan nodded at that and sat on the edge of his bed. He looked back at Walden for a moment, then kissed his cheek and ran a hand down his chest. "Thank you." He told him quietly. "For offering to help me." He chewed his bottom lip. "Your father nearly killed Rodolphus because he wouldn't help him with me. That's why my parents stopped letting him come around." Walden looked down at Rabastan for a moment, feeling a little tense about the kiss to his cheek and the hand on his chest. "I guess your brother isn't as useless as I thought he was," Walden said, looking down at Rabastan. "It's not going to make me treat him any better."

He shifted so he was sitting entirely on the bed, then closed the curtains again, putting up another silencing spell. "I don't want someone coming in and hearing us."

	Walden wasn't sure why Rabastan was keeping his distance now. He shifted closer to him again. "I don't know," he said. "I don't remember why I thought I should come and see you anymore." Rabastan was the only one Walden had ever kissed. He was the only person he'd told about his father. Walden had told Rabastan. He'd said he would belong to him and that he'd kill his parents for him. Just because he wasn't a fag he was being pushed away?

Walden wanted to hit something. Preferrably Remus Lupin. "Fine," he said, pulling back. "I have things to do anyway."

"No. It's.." Rabastan sighed softly and crawled into Walden's lap. He pressed their lips together softly, holding him close. Even if Walden didn't want to be held close.

"I'm sorry." Rabastan told him quietly. "It's just that.. people know about me now. And I didn't think it through enough. I didn't think about how you would treat me in public. How you wouldn't want to be around me. And it's... I hate it."
