Rabastan hadn't eaten in three days. He hadn't even seen Walden Sr. He assumed it was three days. He'd heard the man leave in the morning and return in the night, but he hadn't come into the dungeon for anything. He'd thought that he'd at least come down to rape him or check on him. But, he hadn't even done that. He ran a hand through his hair, still a bit sore from the abuse prior.

When he heard Walden's feet clogging against the floor above him, he wondered how close it was to Christmas. And if he was even going to make it until then. Or if Walden Jr. would come save him.

Walden kept hitting his father until Rabastan's words finally penetrated the haze he'd been in. He looked up at the other boy, suddenly realizing what Rabastan had seen.

He wiped blood onto his shirt and then pulled his trousers up hastily. "We... I'm taking you to your brother's house," he said, not meeting Rabastan's eyes as he took his wand back from him. He held Rabastan tight to his chest for a long moment, closing his eyes, not moving yet.

Rabastan shook his head and pressed closer to Walden. He ran his fingers through the other boy's hair and then pulled him into a kiss. He touched his chest, then leaned in and licked a bit of the blood off of his cheek.

"I'm staying here with you." Rabastan whispered and then kissed him deeply for a long moment. "I love you."

Walden looked at is father's body for a moment, then shook his head. "I'm not staying here," he said. "I'll stay with you." Even if he wasn't sure he could look Rabastan in the eye ever again. Not after what he'd seen.

He apparated them outside the Lestrange Estate and stood, holding Rabastan close to his chest as he walked up to the front doors. They'd have food and clothes for him. His brother would be happy to see him. He'd probably take care of his father's body. Walden didn't ever want to see the man again. He knocked on the front door.

An elf answered, staring at them both for a long moment before popping away. Walden stepped inside and kicked the door shut, listening as he heard someone running down the echoing corridor.

"Rabastan?" Rodolphus barely managed to stop himself from barreling into them. He stared at Walden and Rabastan, covered in blood, for a long moment, then rushed forward and hugged them both. "Thank Merlin you're alive. I won't even ask about the blood or -- clothes. Rinchor! Get Rabastan's clothes!" he yelled, glancing over his shoulder for the elf.

Rabastan looked back at Rodolphus for a moment, but didn't move away from Walden. He wouldn't even let him put him down. He wrapped his arms around the other boy's neck and hid his face against him. He didn't want to be paraded around at that particular moment.

"Take me upstairs." He whispered to Walden and then sighed. "Run me a bath."

"He says he wants a bath," Walden said. "My father had him in his dungeon." He started up the stairs. He was pretty sure Rodolphus would follow, but when they got to the bathroom he could lock the other boy out and have Rabastan to himself for a while. He wanted to take care of him. Just for now.

"Of course," Rodolphus said, following them up the stairs. "The bathroom is down the hall on the right." He didn't like the sound of Rabastan being in a Macnair dungeon at all. It was fucked up. His brother shouldn't be put through things like that. "Where is your father now?"

"Dead," Walden turned, turning and walking down the hall when he reached the top of the stairs. "Have the food delivered to the bathroom. He's starving." He walked into the room and shut the door in Rodolphus's face.

Rabastan waited until the door was shut to press a firm kiss to Walden's lips. He closed his eyes for a moment, then slid out of his arms and sat on the toilet as he stared at the tub. He felt broken and starving. Weak.

"I thought you'd never come." He told Walden quietly as he looked at him, his usual blue eyes a pale grey, bags under his bruised eyes. "I thought I was going to die."

"You would have if I hadn't gotten you out of there," Walden told Rabastan, turning the water in the tub out. He made sure the temperature was all right, then let it run, looking up and meeting Rabastan's eyes for the first time since he'd killed his father. "Don't tell anyone," he said. "About what you saw. About my father and... me."

He looked away again, at the water. "What happened doesn't matter anymore. Neither does what you thought might happen after. You're safe and you're alive. That's what matters."

"I would never tell anyone about it." Rabastan promised Walden as he looked back at him. He slid onto the floor and crawled towards where Walden was and reached up, touching his cheek so he could turn his face back to look at him. He gave him a very serious look.

"It's nothing to be ashamed of, Walden. You know about me." Rabastan told him and then kissed him softly on the lips. "It's not anything you could help. You were forced. I don't think any differently of you."

"Don't think of it at all," Walden ordered, shaking his head and looking away, frowning at the floor. "I don't like to think of it. It's... I should be stronger than that."

He scowled, feeling disgusted with himself. "It's sick. I'm glad he's dead. I've fantasized about killing him ever since I was a kid. He deserved it, for what he did to you." Walden looked at Rabastan for a moment, then picked him up and put him in the tub. "Food will be here soon."

"Your dad had more troll blood than you. There was no escaping that, Walden." Rabastan informed him and then shook his head. "But, I won't talk about it. I won't even bring it up. I'm sorry. I love you."

Rabastan sank under the water and closed his eyes for a moment, letting the hot water soak into him skin. "I feel disgusting."
