Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry

Romy was so excited that Thoreau was on the train with her. Even if it was still a time of mourning for her, she wanted to be happy about her brother being at Hogwarts. She held onto his hand as they went through the train, with Rider behind them.

"I'll let you pick the compartment." She promised him. "And Draco will sit wherever we choose, since he's the late one this time."

"Good, because nothing has happened between us since then. I've barely spoken to her," Rider said. "Bringing it up would be a waste of time. She doesn't mean anything to me."

"Who doesn't?" Draco stepped into the compartment with Blaise in tow, glancing at Romy's brother. He leaned in and gave his girlfriend a brief kiss. "Sorry I'm late. Pansy has trouble deciding what she was going to wear this morning."

Romy rolled her eyes at that. "That is so stupid." She told him, then tugged him down beside her. She smiled and leaned against Draco. "I missed you. How was the end of your summer? I'm sorry I wasn't around as much."

Blaise glanced at Thoreau and arched a brow. "I heard you were thinking of switching schools. Are you excited?" He asked, taking a seat beside him.

"Don't be silly. You don't have to apologise," Draco said, wrapping his arms around Romy and kissing her forehead. He smiled down at her. "I should have been around for you more. I wanted to give your family time, you know? I'm really happy to see you. I'm glad you've got your brother with you this year. That'll be good. I know you don't like Pansy, but I like having her around to talk to."

Rider made a face when Draco started cuddling Romy like he had the right to cuddle her or something. "Romy always has me," he pointed out. "We're even closer than siblings."

Thoreau smiled at Blaise when he sat beside him. "Excited. A little nervous about what house I'll be Sorted into, but excited," he said, nodding. "Hogwarts is going to be completely different from what I'm used to and I'm really looking forward to it. Any tips?"

Romy looked at Rider for a moment, then kissed his cheek and looked back at Draco. "I did miss you. Pansy doesn't even want to be around me. I would have liked it more if you would have been around a bit more for me."

"Hm. I only know how to survive Slytherin." Blaise admitted with a smirk. "Do you know what house you want to be in?"

"I'm sorry, Rom," Draco said, kissing her again. "I've talked to Pansy. Tried to get her to cool down this year. I know Theo was trying to convince her as well. His cousins love your family." He glanced at Rider. "Maybe you should ask Pyxis out this year."

Rider made a face at that. "We're just friends," he told Draco. "I have other interests." Like fucking Romy's brains out when Draco wasn't paying attention.

Thoreau shook his head. "I'm not sure," he said. "Ravenclaw or Slytherin, probably. My father thought I'd be in Ravenclaw, but I wouldn't mind being in the same house as Romy and everyone else I know." Or Hufflepuff, by the kitchens, but Thoreau knew better than to admit that our loud.

Romy looked up at Rider and gave him a slightly sad smile. "You could ask her if you wanted." She told him quietly, shrugging. "I mean... you'll need a girlfriend, right?"

"Ravenclaw is a good house. I wanted to be a Ravenclaw." Blaise admitted. "There are some good blokes in Ravenclaw you could be friends with. You still like Quidditch? There's a slot open on the team."

"No, I won't," Rider said, looking down at Romy and frowning a little. "Pyxis and I are just friends. I don't want her to be my girlfriend. She's hot and everything, but I don't want to date her."

Thoreau smiled at Blaise. "Yeah, I still like Quidditch," he said. "I was hoping I'd be able to try out for the team of whatever house I ended up in. I'm way too small to play at Durmstrang, but everyone's built like a normal person at Hogwarts. Who do you know in Ravenclaw?"

So, he thought Pyxis was hot. She frowned at that for a moment and shrugged. "Alright. You don't have to date her. It was only a suggestion." She told him, then glanced up as Pansy entered the compartment. She frowned.

"Hello." Pansy looked at her brother, then at Romy. She took a seat beside Blaise and crossed her legs. "Daphne wanted some alone time with her boyfriend. Did you hear there's going to be a tournament this year?"

"I know some girls in Ravenclaw. There's Cho Chang and Luna Lovegood. Michael Corner and Terry Boot may be two people you get along with."

Rider rolled his eyes when Romy started scowling at him like that. It wasn't like he'd said he was planning on fucking her brains out or something. "What kind of tournament?" he asked. "Sounds lame."

"A Triwizard tournament," Draco said. "My father's on the Board of Governors. They were arranging it all summer. It's supposed to be a secret until the feast, but it's going to be massive. All three European schools will be here. You have to be eighteen to compete, though. We miss out on the fun."

"I'll look out for them," Thoreau said, smiling at Blaise. He looked at Draco when he mentioned that all three schools would be in the tournament thing. "Does that mean that Durmstrang students are going to be at Hogwarts this year?" He'd really been hoping his reputation as a whore wouldn't follow him to Hogwarts.

"It's seventeen." Pansy rolled her eyes at Draco and looked at Rider. "I'm sure that there will be plenty of people who are going to try and put their name into the cup anyway. It's ridiculous. It's all about fame and glory. And you could die from it."

Romy frowned. "Why would they let students do this?" She asked, shaking her head. "It seems like something that adults should be doing."

Pansy sighed. "So that you get all the fame and glory when you're a teen." She said and then looked at Thoreau. "Yes. Of course. Just a few chosen few. Like, the best in the school." She liked Thoreau.

"If you do it when you're seventeen, then you are technically an adult," Draco pointed out, frowning at his sister when she rolled her eyes at him. "It's supposed to promote school unity or something. Father was trying to predict who would end up being our champion."

"Luka will probably be here, then," Thoreau said, after thinking about it for a moment. "It's his last year at Durmstrang. He's the best Quidditch player in the school. Which is saying something. Quidditch is everything there. I wonder if he'll let Radley take over the team while he's here."

"I don't know who it would be out of our school. We go to school with idiots." Pansy waved a dismissive hand and shrugged. "But, hopefully it's someone from our house. It would be nice."

Romy thought about their house. "I don't know about that. Marcus Flint is the only seventeen year old in our house that isn't a completely pussy." She glanced at Thoreau. "Do you think that they wouldn't bring Radley?"

"He's fifteen," Thoreau pointed out. "I assumed they'd only let seventeen-year-olds come, but if Luka has a say in it he'll probably bring his whole Quidditch team so they don't ever have to stop practicing." He perked up a little at the thought of being at a normal school with Radley again. "That would be great."

Rider snorted. "It's not going to be a Slytherin," he said. "They talk about house unity and all that, but there's no way they'd let a Slytherin be champion. It'll probably be a Hufflepuff or a Gryffindor. One of Dumbledore's favourites."

"I'm a Slytherin and I am one of Dumbledore's favourites." Romy pointed out as she looked up at Rider. "Too bad I'm too young. But, I don't think you can rig the cup to choose who you want."

"There are spells in place." Pansy nodded as she thought about it. "The cup chooses. Not a person." She glanced at Thoreau. "Is Radley your boyfriend or something?"

"No," Thoreau said, because it was the right answer even if wanted to say yes. Radley wasn't ready to be out and he certainly wasn't ready to be out to Pansy Malfoy. "He's my best friend. Rider's brother?"

"Radley's dating Astoria, Pans," Draco said, shaking his head. "They came to our last Christmas party together. She's always writing him letters."

Thoreau frowned a little at that. "I don't know who he's dating," he said. He hoped it wasn't anyone. They'd spent the summer like they were together. Radley loved him. Eventually he'd reach the point where he could tell Walden that. "If he's dating anyone. But he's not my boyfriend."

"I don't think that Daphne is dating anyone. But, I know Astoria writes letters to someone." Pansy shrugged, looking at Draco. "There were some boys in a compartment with her, so I thought she wanted to be alone. Her sister was with her."

Blaise rolled his eyes a bit at that. "Daphne and Astoria are both so thick it's disgusting. I think they should date Crabbe and Goyle and leave the better men to women who are capable of thought."

Thoreau wasn't very inclined to like either Greengrass sister either. "I don't know why Walden pushes Astoria on Radley so hard. It's not like he knows anything about women."

Rider snorted. "She's got giant tits," he said. "He probably assumes that means she's attractive. He should be pushing Radley to date Pyxis. At least she's got a brain to go with her tits. Walden would like Pyxis."

Pansy frowned at that. "If your father would like Pyxis so much, why don't you date her?" She rolled her eyes at him. "Though, if I recall, you like small breasts."

Romy frowned at that. "He doesn't like small breasts. You're just a slut that was easy for him to get into."
