I would love to see photos when you can provide them. Culture tugs my interests so much, but it's hard to find friends in different countries who post about that sort of thing. I suppose since a journal focuses primarily on their interests that writing about the world around them isn't anything new? Sorry if that makes no sense @_@; I am a bit goofy today.

Ah no sadly. My birthday is May 1st, so I'm often nicknamed May due to the date. When I found it was the name to one of my favorite video game characters, I decided to make that my alias here (as is the fad with my friends). I've been trying to stay away from the Asian languages due to the fact anime and video games interest me slightly. I don't want to be labeled as one of those individuals who learned the language just due to those hobbies.

I am currently learning Spanish and German at the same time. German is my fun language, the one I want to learn for myself. Spanish is due to the area I live in - southern California. We have a lot of immigrants and Spanish is more common here than English. So to better improve my career opportunities, Spanish is a must. I also plan on learning French and Italian, which will be very easy once I've mastered the prior two languages. French would be just in case I moved to Canada, where it's a very common language. Italian is just because it's a beautiful language.

I could go on and on about all the languages I wish to master. One of my role models growing up was a translator for the United Nations and the woman spoke/wrote 31 languages before she was thirty years old.
