She looped her arm through his and grinned up at him. "You're going to do fine." She added, taking at step forward and then stopping to look at him. "You're a total gentleman, you got this." She laughed, pointing to her arm looped through his.

"Exactly! And that's exactly how to look at it too. It really isn't any different, just act how you would any other time, if you have fun, she'll have fun." She added, matter-of-factly, nodding once.

Her cheeks blushed a little too, but she tried her best to hide it, unhooking her arm from his and digging absently in her bag. She pulled out her pack of gum and took and piece before offering it to him.

She was confident and full of advice now but not too long ago Jenny was just her tutor, who she had a huge crush on. "Of course I did, everybody does I think. I was so scared and awkward. And I don't even know why really, we hung out for months before but still.. I remember the first time we actually went to a a dance together I was so nervous I spilled punch all down my dress." The brunette laughed, hooking her arm back through Hendrix's arm and continuing out of the common and and upstairs.

"I'm not saying that to scare you or anything though." She continued, grinning up at him as reassuringly as she could. "Just don't worry about doing anything stupid, nobody's perfect."

Hendrix smiled. His gentlemanly nature was first hand, something he had been taught by his grandparents and something that stuck with him despite the fact that his mother teased him for being so proper.

He knew it was a good idea to walk with Sera, he was beginning to feel a little more confident. He took a piece of the offered gum and took a deep breath. "You're right. I'm already awkward and goofy, there's no fighting it," he grinned. "At least she knows that by now."

"That's one of the good things with dating someone your friends with." Sera laughed, taking the first step up the long staircase. "They already know you enough to know if you're they're type or not. So it's a lot less stress, right."

She tried to keep a fairly steady pace up the stairs, Hendrix seemed to relax quite a bit from when she first saw him and she didn't want him to loose that confidence before they got there.

Reaching the right floor, she made way down the hall towards the Twin's dorm-room door. She stopped turning to face Hendrix face on at once just before they reached the right door. "Okay are you ready?" She asked, a positive sprang to her voice, She smiled at him sincerely looking a bit more serious, making sure he knew she thought he was ready.

"You think I'm here type?" he asked cautiously. He had never wanted to be with someone the way he wanted to be with Ella, that was for sure. Sure she was cute and fun to be around but she made him feel comfortable even at his most awkward and stressed. When he wasn't around her, he wanted to be near her and when he was around her, he wanted to be closer.

He trucked right along with Sera, even as his head was spinning with all the things he could possibly say to Ella. "I think so," he said when Sera asked if he was ready. "Just gotta remember to act natural," he nodded. "I got butterflies," he admitted with a sheepish grin.

Sera turned to Hendrix, looking thoughtfully for a minute. She wasn't sure what Ella's type was really. "I guess so." The brunette replied smiling, but knowing it was a terrible answer quickly continued. Whether she knew the answer or not she was supposed to be boosting his confidence not filling him with doubt.

"..I mean, she hasn't really dated before I'm not really sure what her type is, or if she even has one. But I don't think you have anything to worry about." She offered her friend an encouraging smile. "She's your friend, and she agreed to go to the dance with you, right?"

"Exactly, just act natural." Sera beamed, glancing up at Hendrix and noticing his sheepish expression couldn't help but grin. Frankly, she found his nervousness adorable and she had to struggle a bit to keep from teasing him about it. Figuring now probably wouldn't be the best time to make him blush or get upset.

"That's totally normal." She told him instead, taking another step towards the twins door in front of Hendrix. She turned her head quickly back around to face him again.

"Everybody gets those. They're like a first date rite of passage."

He had to admit he was glad not to be alone in the first date jitters. He shook himself one last time, as if he could shake the nervousness right out of his system and then looked at the door. If Sera had gotten the butterflies then it was totally reasonable to expect the same of himself, especially since she was like ten times more confident than he was. "Okay, let's do this," he said quietly. "I'm ready."

Sera gave Hendrix one last encouraging smile and took the last step towards the door to Jenny and Ella's room.

"You're definitely ready, just relax." She added still smiling and patting him gently on the back. She reached with her other hand to knock twice on the door and took a step back to stand next to her friend, waiting for one of their dates to answer.
