"You're like a proper daddy already," she murmured playfully. "One drink and done," she said proudly. "Monkey's gonna be right proud of his pops," she giggled.

"I bet some of 'em are wonderin' how you knocked up yer lady," she laughed for once. It was nice to know that they didn't really have to worry about Pascual anymore. She was feeling more secure about that situation but the rest of it was still coming together. "Is it weird that I'm a librarian now?" she joked.

"I am like.. supremely exceedingly daddy-like," Hunter agreed, nursing her cup slowly and keeping up the dark looks she gave to people staring at them. She had always been loud and attention seeking, but this had never been the attention she meant. This was different, like it was private. "I'll make 'em real proud," she added, reaching down and putting her hand over the other girl's stomach for a second before pulling away, flushing a little. The sappy stuff was still new.

She snorted slightly, leaning in and kissing Michi's temple slightly. "Can't tell 'em how I did it, too x-rated," she purred jokingly. "And y'all know I have a thing for librarians.. why else did I fuck Sera? She's the queen librarian!"

Michi could barely stand how cute it was the way Hunter's face reddened when she touched her belly. She reached up on her tip toes and brushed Hunter's cheek with his lips. "I love you," she whispered.

She laughed loudly at that. "Well shit girl, if I knew you had a thing for librarians I woulda stuck my nose in them books earlier," she joked.

"Not as much as I love you," Hunter whispered back automatically, cracking a crooked little grin. "An' I don't even care who hears it neither, fuck 'em."

Scrunching up her face, the blonde gave a big shrug of her shoulders. "Well it's not like I always knew I was into nerds," she joked back. "You got the sexiness to go 'long with it though."

Michi found herself flushing, butterflies in her stomach all over again. Every time. It worked like a charm. "Fuck 'em all," she said brightly. "S'long as I got you I don't give a damn."

Scoffing loudly, the blonde raised an eyebrow dramatically at the younger girl. "You might feel like a whale, but y'all look like a damn fox. Who knew I had a thing for baby mamas?"

She smiled brightly, it was easy to be with Hunter. She made the whole damn thing bearable. She couldn't imagine what it would have been like if it had been Pascual who she was with, if it had been Pas she admitted her pregnancy to.

"Yer real sweet," Michi said giving Hunter a little peck on the lips. "I ever tell you that?" she asked blushing.

"I heard it a time or two," Hunter agreed, laughing a little against the younger girl's lips. "Jus' so long as you don't go round tellin' everybody else.. let them think I'm tough'n shit."

Pausing for a moment, the blonde puffed out her chest slightly. "I mean, I still am! Jus'.. gotta be a bit soft to be a pops, I guess."

Michi laughed. "Yeah, yer secret's safe with me and Monkey. I prefer it that way anyways," she giggled.

She rested her head against Hunter's shoulder again, laughing gently. "I know you tough. You don't gotta explain to me nothin'. We're a couple 'a tough bitches... we just... yer right, we gotta be softer an' shit," she grinned. She thought back to the afternoon that she and Hunter had gotten back together, the afternoon that they had kicked Pas's ass in the woods and smiled.

"Right? You jus' gotta let everybody else think I'm still tough.. then they'll know they gotta back off of my boo and our little boo. If they think I'm tough, s'all about the unspoken threat," the tall blonde laughed, giving her girlfriend a protective little squeeze in her arms as Michi's head rested on her shoulder.

"We're gettin' there.. bein' softer, I mean. I ain't no butch bitch, but I guess I could clean up my mouth and my act a li'l if we're gonna have Monkey round," she mused softly, grinning a bit herself. "If I gotta fight for y'all, damn right I gotta stay tough enough to do it. Gotta say fuck the haters, right babe? Chins always up from here on out."

"I like the way you thinkin'," Michi grinned happily. It was nice to have someone on her side when she felt like the whole world was just falling apart around her. She knew that from the start tough. No matter what she went though, she knew she had Hunter and that really was the only thing that mattered.

"Shit, I figure Monkey's first words'll be something nasty," she laughed. "Yeah," she felt more comfortable already. "Fuck the heaters. Aint got nothin' to hide from anymore right?"

She laughed, leaning her head back a little at the ridiculousness of it all. She could just see it now, the tiny little boy running around, cussing his head off. "Monkey sure does," she giggled. "He's been kickin' all night. I think he gets excited when he hears y'all talkin'."

"Exactly," she said more softly. There was a part of her that was ready to throw away all that insecurity and just be done with it. There she was and she wasn't letting anything stop her as it was but still... there was the tiniest bit of her that still shied away from all the staring and the whispering. "We'll be fine," she forced herself to say. "An' we're gonna be the best parents this Monkey could ever have," she held her chin high. Even if she wasn't feeling one hundred percent there was no reason to let the bastards know they were bothering her.

"He jus' likes the good swear words," Hunter joked, though she grinned quite proudly. The idea that he could recognize her voice was sort of amazing, she had heard about that sort of thing in the boring books Sera had bought for her, but she never thought that it would be really happening to her. Reality setting in kept blowing her mind as the months went on and the day got closer and closer. "He's growin' all the time," she laughed fondly.

Nodding firmly, Hunter showered the top of the other girl's head with kisses. "You bet! I'm gonna make my parents look like the schmucks they were.. I'm gonna do everythin' right for us, be a real family," she assured Michi. She would never get tired of saying that, of telling the younger girl. She was going to do the best for the three of them that she could, even if it killed or something.

"Yeah he is. Growin' almost constantly I feel," she said rubbing her belly. "Sometimes I can't believe there's a little guy in there, all bundled up and shit," she admitted. "It don't seem possible."

"We're both gonna make our parents look like assholes," she laughed. "And we'll take care of ourselves and our boy and Yori," she squeezed Hunter as tight as she could. "A proper fuckin' family," she repeated warmly. "Aint no one gonna ruin shit for us."

"Crazy, ain't it?" Hunter agreed, shaking her head a bit at the thought. "The whole idea of pregnancy always sorta.. gave me the heebie-jeebies, y'know? Li'l guy grownin' in there and stuff.. it's nuts. Like, and it ain't even magic, it's like.. science!"

Nodding her head, Hunter lifted one arm and gave it a flex. "Damn right! I'll crack some heads if I gotta, I'll keep us safe," she grinned.

"Right?! It's like..." she wiggled a little. "Still skeeves me a little but I aint never felt so like protective and shit. Like, I know everyone is always tryin' to take care of the preggo ladies but I feel like I don't need no takin' care of. I feel stronger'n ever. Weird science man."

"I know ya will pops," Michi smiled warmly. "I aint got nothin' to fear and... we'll take care of all the other unimportant shit when it comes to it," she of course was talking about the legality of their situation, the birth certificates, and the issue of custody. None of that mattered though, as long as they had each other.

Hunter was immediately relieved at her girlfriend's admission, and she laughed loudly. "Wanna know somethin'?" she asked, before laughing again and going on. "Yer the first real pregnant I been close to, I-- I dunno, it always freaked me out, made me think like.. aliens were gonna pop outta there, I didn't like that movin' around shit. I remember even when I was real little an' my ma was havin' Beth.. I didn't wanna touch her stomach, no fuckin' way, but it ain't the same. It's our kiddo in there, y'know? Guess it really is different when it's yer own," she shook her head, looking only slightly embarrassed.

She was quick to shake it off, puffing her chest out importantly and nodding. "Superstar terrorist huntin' aurors make mega money, we'll have the best damn lawyers in the country, don't you worry!"

"It definitely is different when it's yer own. I used to think Yori was an alien," she said patting her belly again. "First I was like... I didn't want this, not that I didn't want him, just... the whole timin' of it," she shrugged. "But the second thought was... I gotta take care of this little monkey," she grinned.

"I won't worry," she said, genuinely calmed by her girlfriend's gusto. "I know we'll take care of this all in time. Fer now let's just enjoy the quiet we'll have before Monkey comes bustin' into the world hollerin' for a binkie," she giggled.

"I think everybody gets to wig a lil' bit at first.. it's a real big thing an' all," Hunter admitted, shaking her head. "I mean, at first I was like holy shit but then it was like.. y'know, the more ya think about it, the more ya realize that you got it under control. We got it under control," she went on, trailing off a bit sheepishly.

"Gotta take advantage of that quiet time.. and maybe that sexy time, I'm pretty sure them books says that don't last forever neither. You gotta get in all the good stuff while ya can," the blonde giggled back, waggling her eyebrows.

"It is, 'specially when ya weren't plannin' on it but the good thing is people tend to get near nine months for plannin'," she grinned. "We got this thing boo, I aint worried one bit." Though she was worried, mostly about the actual birthing part but she was sure there was no amount of preparation for that.

Michi giggled, her cheeks flushing, though she felt anything but sexy. "Well ya know, so long as you aint turned away by my big old belly," she half joked. She had been reassured over and over again but no one clould say anything to make her feel any better about it. Her mother had criticized her her whole life about any extra pound or two she might be carrying around.

"Nine months seems like a long time till they're in there," she grinned back, a little weakly. She had been getting more and more worried with every passing month it seemed like, and though she was enjoying the fun things like the kicking and the late night feasts, she would feel much better once the whole thing was over and they had their Monkey already.

"Hey," the blonde laughed back, looking mock stern as she stared at her girlfriend. "Nothing 'bout you could turn me off. Y'all should see yourself," she informed the younger girl, whistling as she made a show of looking her over. "Y'know what I'm sayin' right? Y'all are a stone-cold fox, c'mon."

"It's true," she laughed. "Now I'm just excited. Like... I wanna have him come on out already. Though... we sure are gonna be squished," she laughed. "Livin' in that damn two by four they call a room," she shrugged. "We'll make it work." May really couldn't come fast enough.

She smiled shyly and nodded. "Well than y'all are the hottest pops on the planet," she grinned. "We gonna have us a fine lookin' boy."
