Leland was pretty drunk and just itching for some sort of confrontation. He couldn't stop himself from calling out to his buddy from across the room. "Hey! Buford!" Sim was always good for some shit, be it drugs, fighting, or pranking someone else. Then Leland saw the girl at his side and cringed. What was with all the fucking nerds?!
Getting closer he sighed a bit. "What? First Mack and now you? What's with the nerds bro? Did I miss something?"
Sim was feeling pretty buzzed and when he was buzzed he felt a lot more inclined to pick a figth with someone. He was already on edge, this was the first party he had been to 'out in the open' with Meka. I mean, she was the coolest girl he knew, but he had a reputation to uphold.
Sim waved to Leland as he came over, thinking he probably wanted to score. Sim had a pocket full of coke he was itching to get rid of otherwise he was going to be dipping into all night and that would be a waste of money. Sim rolled his eyes at Leland's greeting. "Oh fuck off, Le. I don't wanna have to kick your ass tonight."
Leland smirked slowly, he knew he would get a rise out of his friend and eventually they would make up. "Oh please, kicking my ass over a nerd?" he egged the other boy on. "What do you even see in her? Is it like magic nerd tits or something?" he shook his head. "I just don't see it."
Sim never needed much of a push to fly off the handle and talking about his girlfriend's tits would do it. Sim threw his drink to the ground and shoved Leland up against the nearest wall. "I'm fuckin' warning you, bro!" he yelled in the other boy's face.
Le hadn't expected Sim to fly off so fast but was pleased nonetheless. A party was never a party until fists were flying. He grinned drunkenly. "Really bro? Must be the best poon in the state to get you all twisted up like this!" he said loudly.
Well Sim's exemplary record for the night was going to be broken, it seemed. As soon as Leland mentioned Meka again, Sim had headbutted the other boy without even stopping to think about it. It was pretty hard too, as a burst of pain spread through his forehead. He had probably got Le's nose.
"I fuckin' said leave it, bro! Why you always doing shit like this?" he shouted as a crowd gathered around them.
Leland hadn't seen it coming. A headbutt was probably the last move he had expected as he felt his nose just smash against the other boy's forehead. He pushed Sim back and took a swing, aiming for his jaw. "You're actin' like I'm the crazy one!" he accused. "I aint the one who's gonna be at some mathletes competition for some fuckin' chick! Is that what you really want bro? I'm just tryin' to look out for you!"
Sim took the punch pretty well, though he was now bleeding from somewhere in his mouth. Probably his tongue by the amount of blood he was spitting.
"She's not a fuckin' mathlete!" Sim yelled before swinging a punch into Leland's gut.
Blood was pouring from his nose, dripping onto his shirt. He was about to come back with something else about mathletes when Sim punched him in the gut. He grunted and folded over but that wasn't nearly enough to stop him. Le swung again. "Whatever dude, a cute nerd is still a nerd. What does she even see it a thug like you?"
Sim often asked himself the same question and it definitely faltered him, just enough for Leland to catch him off guard and send him stumbling into the crowd, who readily pushed him back into the action.
"It's none of your goddamn business!" Sim spat, getting blood all over the carpet.
Using the wall to propel him forward Leland pushed off and sent himself tumbling into Sim. If he could get him down onto the floor he might have a slight advantage. He knew he had struck a nerve and he knew he could keep digging. "She's gonna ruin your rep dude and you don't even know why!"
Charlie had been a bit putt off by Sera throwing a party for Jenny, especially after she had stolen her on Valentines day. She genuinely wanted Jenny to be happy, but she wanted it to be with her. Sera was winning this battle. Charlie hated losing, especially when it came to something like this. She really like the older girl, possibly even a little more than that. She had shown up when Sommer had invited everyone with the intention of having one last shot to win Jenny over.
It had been a madhouse all night, between the fights and drunken rooms packed with people, Charlie hadn't been able to find Jenny. She had seen Alex talking to that guy that Sera had been dating, but didn't really want to wonder if she was planning something. Alex was always planning something, and that was the problem. Finally, she found Jenny in the kitchen, and she couldn't help herself from smiling. Sneaking up behind the smaller girl, she covered her eyes with her hands and leaned into the shorter girl's ear. "Happy Birthday!" She purred. "Guess who?"
Jenny was trying her best to enjoy the party, despite the amount of unexpected guests and all of the fighting and violence going on, but there was definitely a part of her mind with a lot weighing on it. She knew that Charlie was around somewhere, had seen her briefly earlier, and she knew that she had to talk to the blonde. She knew how this was going to look, after Sera throwing the party for her and all, but she had to be honest with the younger girl no matter what.
She couldn't keep seeing the blonde the way she was, not after how things had been going between her and Sera. It wasn't fair to Charlie. She was still irritated with her ex, and they weren't together again just yet, but she knew that if things kept going the way they were.. well, she and Charlie just needed to talk. She had missed Sera terribly, and had still loved her all along. Now that the brunette wanted her back, she wasn't sure that she could resist.. that she wanted to. She cared a lot about Charlie, she had been an amazing friend and so sweet to look out for her and be there for her, and she felt awful about the way things were going.. but she figured talking things out was better than leading the girl on. When she felt hands go over her eyes, she pouted playfully, unsure of who it was at first. Once Charlie whispered in her ear however, she felt herself shiver rather involuntarily, a nervous grin replacing her pout. "Three guesses, first two don't count?" she asked. "Is it.. Chuck?"
Charlie laughed, and removed her hands from the older girl's eyes. "I knew there must have been a reason you were head girl besides your good looks," she teased her. She gave Jenny a peck on her cheek and walked around to greet her. She gave the smaller girl a proper hug, her usual goofy grin on her face. "Guess the rumors are true, you're a brain!"
She laughed again, winking at the smaller girl. "Happy Birthday Jen," she said, pulling away from the other blonde. "Are you ready for your second surprise?" She rummaged around the inside pocket of her jacket and pulled out a wrapped package. She presented it to the older girl proudly.
Jenny returned the hug, holding onto the younger girl for perhaps a bit longer than necessary before letting go and smiling weakly at her. "It's true, and everybody knows that a woman's brain is the sexiest organ of all," she replied, sticking her tongue out at Chuck grinned at her.
When the other blonde pulled out a present for her, Jenny was a bit surprised, looking sheepish as she accepted it. "You didn't have to get me anything," she replied automatically, already unwrapping it and grinning slightly. "You're going to play with me, right? I know you've got pipes," she questioned her quickly, but feeling bad as soon as she said it. They needed to talk still, and she could only hope Charlie would want to be around her at all after that. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
