"Yeah it's okay." Sera shrugged, reaching up and rubbing the spot where she was hit. "She didn't hit me that hard, just stung for a minute." She smiled at her girlfriend and grabbed her hand, swinging them as they walked. It really was a really great day, apart from Tatum who had been a royal pain. The brunette expected her to not be too fond on calling it the day a date but she figured that if they were all having fun Tatum would at least be nice to Mack.

She stopped and took Jenny by her other hand pulling her towards her. "Thanks for standing up for me back there by the way." Sera kinda laughed, looking down at Jenny. She was pretty sexy when she was angry. "I don't think she expected it." She grinned again. "I don't think my sister's ever seen you yell like that before."

Jenny smiled fondly as Sera swung their hands between them, and she twined their fingers together. "Mmm, you're welcome," the blonde replied quietly, letting herself be pulled in and looking up at the younger girl. "You're so tough," she joked, leaning up a bit to kiss the brunette's cheek.

At the mention of get outburst at Tatum, the older girl began to fume all over again, her face scrunched up. "Well, she should be more careful! She could have really hurt you, I just.. I don't know, it was rude! Sisters shouldn't hit each other," the blonde rambled, freeing her hands from Sera's briefly and using them to gesture. "She's almost nineteen, she needs to grow up."

"That's probably what she wanted." Sera laughed, rubbing her again jokingly. "I'm sure she was trying to hurt me. She probably upset I'm not bleeding." The brunette frowned, wondering if if was true but forced a laugh. Her sister wasn't that mean.

"You and Ella would never treat each other the way we do, I know, she's so immature." Sera quickly agreed nodding her head. "I get she's scared but it's a little over the top."

Jenny scowled deeply at her girlfriend's words, reaching up and giving the younger girl's head a gentle rub. "That's terrible. I'm not upset about the lack of blood.. god, I don't know what I'd do," the blonde murmured, shivering at the thought. She wasn't sure she would have been able to stop her yelling if the brunette had actually gotten hurt. Childish pranks were bad enough when they were dangerous, adding in malice was never a bonus.

"Never," Jenny agreed, shaking her head. "I understand that she doesn't want to be here, but most grown up people are able to be mature about a situation and not throw a tantrum."

"Yeah Tatum's always been a big fan of tantrum's, you'd think she'd of gotten past it by now though." Sera shook her head again, smirking just a little as she did. "..but nope! I just don't get her, I really don't think she hates Mack that's the worst part about it. I know it's partially my fault cause I tease her like crazy but if she's really as straight as she says hanging out with Mack wouldn't change that."

The taller girl shook her head again, reached down grabbing her hand and linked her fingers with the blonds. "She better be nice well were gone, I'm gonna try not to think about it though I just wanna enjoy the tour and my alone time with you."

Jenny sighed heavily, squeezing Sera's hands as their fingers tangled together. "I'm still staying out of it, but I think you and I both know she doesn't hate her, she just.. that can be very confusing. For some people, especially people in a position like.. the one your father keeps you guys in. Everything he expects from you all," the blonde murmured, frowning a bit.

She had always been glad that Ron and Paula were so liberal, the twins had always been loved and appreciated just for being themselves. Other than staying out of serious trouble, their parents didn't expect much out of them besides being happy. Jenny's extra work was of her own choosing, and never once had they tried to interfere. She wasn't sure Sera would even get to choose her own classes if she didn't have Madeline on her side.

"I just want to enjoy the tour too. Even if everybody else thinks it's dumb, I think it's going to be very informative!"

"I know it can be." The brunette grinned, scrunching up her face a little at the older girl. She still remembered when she first started to question her sexuality, she was fourteen the first time she liked a girl and could recall just how scared she was. And how scary it was to tell her mom.

She frowned a little at the blond. "I really am hard on her it's just she's not fooling anybody anymore. Like it's time for her to be honest, not to dad though, no way I get that!" The taller girl huffed a little planting a hand on her hip, she just knew she was right, regardless of what Tatum said. "She could tell mom though. She tough on Tatum but she'd treat her the same way she treated me when I came out."

"I think it is too, I think we get to see where they made apple juice." Sera giggled, trying to focus on their little private date away from the group. She was still pretty mad about Tatum's behavior though, it was hard to stop thinking about it completely. She swung her arm with Jenny's squinting slightly from the sun between the trees.

"How cool is that? I always wondered how that was done actually."

"She's just scared. Everybody gets scared sometimes, but when it's somebody who's already like.. basically afraid of her own shadow, that's worse," Jenny reminded the brunette gently. "Maybe she thinks your mom might be okay if it's you, but if it's her.."

She trailed off, not really needing to finish. It was common knowledge that Madeline took favor with Sera, something else that Jenny never understood. Ron and Paula had never preferred her or Ella over each other, as far as she knew. Tatum frustrated Jenny, but she could sort of see where all of the older girl's issues came from. Madeline and Mick were great and all, but they certainly weren't perfect parents, even if they might have thought so.

"We totally will! And cider! I want samples," Jenny grinned back, squeezing Sera's hand again as their arms swung. "I bet it's going to be super cool. They have to pasteurize it, right? We'll get to see that maybe!"

"Yeah I know. I probably shouldn't be so hard on her." Sera half smirked, shrugging her shoulders. She knew the blond hated it when she made fun of Tatum. "I get it, like I think about my dad finding out and it's like I can't even think about life beyond that point. I just can't even bring myself to think how he's going to react." She frowned, squeezing Jenny's hand.

"I guess." Sera added. "I don't really think my mom would get mad or tell dad or anything. Maybe it'd be harder for her to lie to him about Tatum or something, I don't know. That's definitely what Tatum thinks, I think."

She walked to the edge of the path and grabbed an apple from one of the lower branches. She polished it with the bottom of the sweater before taking a bite as she headed back towards the blond. "I just feel bad for her, I make fun of her but like I care about her being happy. That's why I keep pushing this thing with Mack, I really think if she just gave her a chance." Sera took another few bites from her apple and tossed it aside into the grass, still swinging her other arm along with Jenny's.

They reached the building where the tours were held. There was only two other people standing out front waiting. "Yes! I definitely want samples of everything." Sera laughed turning to face Jenny. "I want to buy some apple cider to take back to school before we leave too. We can heat it up and have it by the fire in the common room or something." She scrunched up nose, giggling but turned quickly to make sure the other couple hadn't gone in for the tour yet. "Yeah I think they must have to boil it to a certain temperature. I don't believe as high as say milk pasteurization though." Sera thought for a moment and added. "They can't go through quite the process here I don't imagine as they would at like a big apple juice factory, that's why it has to be kept refrigerated and doesn't last very long. Whereas like a can of apple juice lasts forever if its not opened." The brunette laughed again. She was glad it was just the two of them, she was pretty sure none of the others would find a conversation about pasteurization quite as interesting.

"See? Then there absolutely has to be a less harsh way that you could approach her! You need to.. let her know you understand. Because to be honest, with the way she overreacts, I have a feeling she just sees you as another adversary," Jenny replied quickly, pouting a little as her girlfriend shrugged. "It's like a little animal in the wild, you're cornering her so she's going to try to bite!"

She listened to what Sera said about their mother though, and nodded slowly. She had a point. "I guess she can't protect one of you and not the other without jeopardizing the entire thing.. but maybe it'd make her feel better if you just reminded her of that. I think with your mom, you're probably both safe, but obviously your sister doesn't think that. Just remind her, y'know, without being rude? You just want her to be happy, so just.. be nicer about it. I know you get frustrated with her, and I can see why, but she's your family! Don't be rude to her and I'm sure she wouldn't be rude back."

She had been over this lecture with Sera about a hundred times, but every time that things looked like they might look up, either she or Tatum would always end up doing something to piss the other sister off. Jenny was pretty sure she hadn't sat through an entire night where they hadn't bickered in some way, other than when their parents were close-by. Slowing down as they reached the tiny line up for the tour, Jenny swung their arms still as well, eying the other couple for a moment. She turned when Sera explained pasteurization, grinning widely.

"Pop quiz," she giggled. "What temperature is high enough for milk pasteurization? No google," the blonde asked, reaching over her free hand and putting it over the pocket over her girlfriend's jeans so Sera couldn't reach for her phone. They always loved randomly testing each other on useless knowledge. It was half of what made them such trivia freaks. Jenny could waste hours playing any kind of quiz or questionnaire game.
