As Jacob's life settled into the routine of fatherhood, it grew separate from Everett and Vaughn. He knew how much time they spent together and he really just couldn't be a part of it. Instead, he was focusing on Kinley and their son. It wasn't as if he was going to tell either of them, or let on that that was what he was doing. For once in his life, he didn't feel like starting shit or making either of them unhappy. He just accepted that they were in this together. He had other things now, real things that were moving him forward and making him grow up.
But it had been awhile, and Jacob found himself at Vaughn's place, walking inside with a fair amount of entitlement. "Hello?" He knew he was there, but felt the need to greet him with a question rather than certainty.
