"Look at me, what would you call me? I'm partly human. I'm just different, that doesn't make me a monster," Kellen reasoned as he looked up at Quillan. "I'm a father. I love my son very much, and I'm all he has. His mother died while giving birth to him, I'm all he has. What's he going to do without me?" he added, and felt his voice crack. He swallowed hard as he tried to think of what to say to get through to Quillan, but he was starting to feel defeated. "I'm not a monster. I've never hurt anyone in my entire life, in this form or my other form. If I changed right now, I wouldn't hurt you."
