"I'm sorry, I'm not trying to argue," Kellen reasoned. Now he knew he had some sort of chance. The fact that Quillan was visibly distressed told Kellen that he was making some sort of an impact, and he wasn't going to quit now. But he had to be careful. "I promise you I wouldn't hurt you to try and get away. I wouldn't hurt you at all. I could show you, I could prove it to you if you'd just let me."
