He nodded and turned his head so he could see what he was doing and flipped back through to the beginning. "I sketched how I remembered you." There was a rough sketch of Noah as a young boy and of a lion cub. Lions shifted earlier than wolves, around age 8 or 9.
After a second, he turned the pages forward. "And this is how I thought you would look. Every year that passed, I drew how I thought you'd grow up." He was off by a little, but not too terribly much. Clearly, Haben had thought about Noah quite a bit. "Most of the time, when I was writing things down, I was writing to you and grand dad."
