Lunch Date
Arthur sat at the table on the outdoor patio at a small cafe in Lisbon and enjoyed the warm sunshine while he waited for his...while he waited for Mera. She had wanted to meet again and talk and he couldn't refuse her. She could ask for the moon and he would find a way to give it to her.

He would never admit it, but he was nervous. Things with Mera were complicated to say the least and he didn't want to do anything that would upset her or ruin his chances of repairing things with her. He loved her, there was no question about that, but they had been through so much that he wondered if they were past the point of being able to forgive each other.

Arthur sipped his cold beer as he waited.

The elevator ride wasn't long enough to melt into him the way she wanted, but Mera gave it her best try. When the door slid open, she was putty in Arthur's hands.

Remembering what those hands could do made her cheeks flush and and her skin flash hot. It had been too long.

"What room was it again?" she managed to ask between kisses.

Arthur kept her next to his side. "Right there," he said and nodded to a door not far away from the elevator. Arthur got them to the door and swiped the keycard.

They entered and he stuck the Do Not Disturb card on the door handle before shutting the door. The bag holding the food and wine was placed on a small table near the door.

He smiled as she scooped her up and carried her to the king sized bed.
