Several things worked in the trio's favor. The Jokerz were shocked by the death of the Cthulu spawn. Batman's smoke bomb had several Jokerz coughing and hacking.
Nightwing was kicking ass pretty well.
Then Cait takes down the ones who were about to try and dog pile Batman to help their friends out. In short oprder it went from sixteen who could still fight down to eleven. Then one tripped while trying to hold onto the chain and knocked himself out by going face first into a wall.
So then there were ten.
