The Gotham Underground....
James Merone stepped out of the
Devil's Playground, one of the most popular clubs in downtown Gotham. As the owner of the club was in his pocket, Merone had been known to use the back room for his "business meetings". Merone was very satisfied with how this meeting as gone....as he had gotten a nice big amount of money out of it, and showed someone that the Merone crime family was not one to be taken lightly.
Merone walked down the alley at the side of the club, counting the money in his hand.
"James Merone?" A female voice came from the out of the shadows.
"Who wants to know?" He asked, his hand going to the gun in the holster on his pants.
A dagger flew out of nowhere, stabbing Merone in the hand and he cried out in pain.
"I don't think so," the female stepped out of the shadows, daggers in her hands.
"Who...who are you? What do you want? Do you know who I am?!" He clutched his bloody hand, turning to run.
"Yes, I do."
And with that, she threw one of her daggers at Merone's back. He sank to the ground.
The next day, the Merone crime family would the dead body of James Merone, their former leader, in the dumpster outside of the
Devil's Playground.
Soon, various other crime families would notice that their most important members were missing, winding up dead the next day. Each murder looked like someone from a rival family was to blame...
