Garth felt the energy building around him, but he didn't sense the trap around him until it was already sprung. He looked down to find the circle tracing itself in the sand, feeling the energies coalesce into a binding circle that prevented Garth from accessing his power.
"DOLPHIN! GET AWAY FROM HIM! IT'S NOT CERDIAN!" he screams, trying to force his way out of the circle in panic. His power has deserted him, though, it seems, and now his wife is in the hands of monster that wears his son's face.
