Jay takes a sword in the side after his aggressive lunges leave an opening. Instead of cringing back, however, he keeps the sword trapped, grabbing it while its stuck, keeping Bushido from dodging away from him.

"Guess you must not have been a very good Titan. I've never heard of you." he taunts back, throwing a haymaker uppercut with the hand not trapping the sword.
