Trigon remained within his barrier the entire time, focusing his demonic power into holding it up against the shockwaves. It worked, and he remained safe inside of his ball of energy.
All that was left was to prepare a strike while the Black Hand was distracted. He let his energy ball dissipate and charged energy into his hands and eyes. Before he lashed out with his attack, he waited to see where this was going.
The presence of those two girls was the distinct reason the Black Hand had halted. Or, perhaps, it was Ty that halted.
