The ring goes on his finger and Marcus feels burning rage fill up inside him. Unlike many he’s used to dealing with tons of rage all the time with his life and he’s gotten very good at controlling it or at least directing it where he wants it given him a greater measure of control than most.
Marcus makes a wicked smile. “I guess this means the universe really doesn’t want you to beat me. Which means I get to destroy you all over and over again.”
